I was disappointed in that I dont think we got to see enough of their performance, it all appeared heavily cut.
I also concur that the audience and panel were too easily pleased. What they were doing isn't new and although the mum choreographed it you only have to see Hilty and Bosch in 2005 (
) to see the similarities in the popping and locking section they do.
Still, kudos to them for getting out there and doing it. I did really like it, especially the bit where they used different peoples legs and bodies to form 1 person, very effective.
I'd hate to think what the panel/audience would have done if Hilty and Bosch or Umin (
As far as modern dance troops go kaba modern, philipine all stars and jabbawockeez (Winners of americas best dance troop) are the best in the business.
Keep in mind that these are kids not a professional dance troop and they are excellent, no they aren't the best out there but the best out there would debase themselves by appearing in the same room as Simon Cowell
Not to take anything away from the kids though- theyre great for amateurs and with such exposure they could well get the funding and support required for great development
