Flight of the Navigator

Dunno if you've watched it recently, but Weird Science has aged pretty badly :( Still, the great bits are still great :)
Flight of the navigator is still awesome.
 
One cracking 80’s film that I never watched until the early 90’s due to age was The Lost Boys. My Dad always thought it was a proper horror, but in reality, it’s the most teen type movie ever.

Do any of you know what CK-N-JL CNF that has been graffitied on the water tower mean? In the scene where David is walking through the woods to go meet his little brother Jeffrey David looks up and see's the water tower in the Flight Of The Navigator movie... I've always wondered does CK-N-JL CNF have any type of meaning to something?... if you don't remember seeing it watch the movie and pause it when the water tower comes into view and you'll see it.

Its possible that it was just a real water tower they filmed, so the graffiti done by some random real life person not related to the film crew?

I bet someone out there knows, maybe.... but good luck with that one.

Ahh ok, it just has me thinking everytime I see the movie is all, it does have you wondering why a graffiti person would graffiti what looks like either initials or maybe a code of some sorts and does it ever have a meaning, this is something I feel an expert could maybe investigate and maybe find an answer?
 
It's the Hollywood water tower which is usually painted up in some way, although can't say if it was back in 85.

Cant wait till my boys are old enough to watch this and other classics.
 
My daughter watched Flight of the Navigator with me when she was 8, so about twelve years ago but has no memory of it and basically summed it up as a UFO child abduction story when reading the plot recently :D.

Another favourite of mine from around then is D.A.Y.R.L. I don't think I have seen that repeated in a good 15+ years.
 
Another classic that is sadly ignored these days is Explorers.

I mean, what kid didn’t want to go for a ride in the Thunder Road?
