Flip Flops thread

Flip Flops or Jandals as we Kiwis call them (thongs in Aussie) are gods gift to feet. They are utterly utterly awesome and the soul choice of footware in summer.

This.

I find them just as comy as any shoes/trainers and just as easy to walk in. So in summer I'd much rather wear them than anything else.

As long as it's dry I happily wear mine just about anywhere, even for a long days walking.

If it rains though, they just become a slippery disaster!!

shame theyr uncomfy without socks on and stink if you sweat in them and rub if theyr wet etc etc..

Be wearin my flipflops all next week, wehey for holidays

I can deal with that though, safe in the knowledge I'm not being affected by gayness. :)

fairly sure that being vein enough to wear something uncomfy and impractical like that just because you're scared of what people may think you look like is very very gay...
either that or you'v got small peepee syndrome.

Silly Billy Gilly!

A mans gayness is not determined by his footwear, but by the 'Teapotedness' of his stance (in any type of footwear) and whether he says 'I hate you, i hate you, i hate you!!' and if pink is his favourite colour.

Man + close cut hair + stacks of hair product + faux diamond earring + white sneakers = gay (they get bonus gay points for Burberry)

Man + strange oversion to rubber footware = gay

Flip flops + summer = win.

It's a very in student thing to wear flip flops, shorts and a popped collar here in Cambridge, in any weather. It looks ridiculous.

Tips:
The best brand of Flip Flops: Havainas : http://www.havaianas.com/en-GB

For those that have an issue with them rubbing there is a brilliant trick to solving the problem. Get a bit of vasaline or lip balm or anything else on a similar track and pit it along the bits of your feet that rub - Voila! no more rubbing.

Once you've worn them, there is no going back! As for all you 'flip flops are gay' guys you need to toughen up Barbie, if all it takes is a rubber shoe to get your homophobe up then you have a problem.
Quoted for the truth, I wore a few different kinds on my travels and these were the best. I loved wearing flip flops, even had them on in the raid and such!

During my travels i went through no less than 10 pairs. all of them in thailand! Think i used the 'flip flop exchange' at phangan full moon party 4 times then 2 in ko tao, 2 in phi phi and 2 in ton sai. Ended up buying 4 and swapping 6. :)
