Flipping eBay

Hi all,
I recently sold my Nikon d60 through ebay, had pictures of everything included Link to listing

And now the guy wants a full refund as there is no manual included - wtf?
I am really wary of giving him a refund as he has bought about 3 other d60's in the past month on eBay and reckon he is trying to pull some kind of scam.

I offered him a fiver back, or told him to raise a case against me, what you reckon will happen?

Also, I hate eBay.

Always put in your ebay listing that you do not accept refunds. Works for us and we sell lots of things on there.

Surely you have to accept refunds if the item isn't as described tho?

Oh yeah, but we always triple check the listing to make sure we word it correctly and list everything that you would get with the item.

For example i sold a WoW WOTLK collectors edition, specifically said in bold uppercase that the cd key does not come with box and neither does my account.

Guy who bought it tried to get a refund out of us, as we listed no refunds on our listing and the thing he was asking for was specifically mentioned as not being part of the item, ebay told him to do one.

We feel it stops easy whiners and complainers, but in the end it might not do anything. :p

We also have a limit on who bids, member for so long, certain amount of feedback, within the uk etc etc to limit as much as possible the idiots who can linger on ebay.

It's described as 'mint in the box' - I'd expect it to come with everything that came in the box unless stated.

I would assume "AS NEW" or (obviosly) "complete" would be its complete

"mint in the box" I would assume he means the camera is in "mint condition" and it comes with the box and unless other wise stated nothing else.

As you can see from the pictures, the kit comes in original box and is all in mint condition, the only thing worth noting is that the lens that is included is "Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED" which is not a VR lens, but I never used VR to be honest.

You made of point of saying the included lens is not a VR lens, why not also make a point of saying there's no manual? It's quite important.

Jeeeeeez lay off the poor guy ! This is a prime example of a scam, through and through. It doesnt say it comes with a manual nor does it say it doesnt come with a manual therfore either way it is not the sellers fault and the purchaser has assumed on this occasion and we all know the saying '' Assumptions are the mother of all *** swearies should be fully starred *** ups ''

The buyer has no right to ask for a refund, its a manual which can be sent by post/email etc so If the guy was genuine, you send him the manual and have done with it. If he kicks up a fuss, its a scam, pure and simple.

No more debating this....

Drive up to the address and stick a manual where the sun dosen't shine?!

Or link him the online manual as he clearly has internet access.

If it was 'boxed as new' then it would probably also describe having a manual.

This is why you always should make your listings idiot proof. Writing a list of contents included in sale is clear and anything not on there won't be included.
