Same for me, I have my new holiday entitlement from Jan so can't see either being a problem although the 22nd would probably be better as it's a bit further away from xmas to have some cash saved.

Nokkon's been trying to convince me to attend the next one, I might try and borrow my mates 360 (If I don't have a new one by then, thinking about a Mac Mini atm too) and show you all how to play (says the guy who had to get his 10yr old nephew to do the final boss on Heavenly Sword) and will be traveling in a Kangoo from Manchester, so room for 1 more on the way.
Depends if I can swing it though, due to get married and possibly move house sometime between Feb-May, so everythings a bit up in the air atm.

I was just looking at the route and it doesn't seem too bad for me, around 280 miles.
The best way does seem to be aiming at Manchester, then cutting across. My mate said the same the other day and his family are from Wales too, he said it's a nightmare cutting right across and going from North Wales.
Manchester is easy to get to, then from there to Warrington is an unknown as I've never been in a car doing it (but it was 15 mins on train). From Warrington it wasn't bad, just one really nasty corner in Wales which grinded the bottom of Psymonkee's car, but lesson learned.
