Flobots - Handlebars

Glad there's some taste coming into this thread :)

As for politically driven, so are Green Day. Doesn't make them good. In fact they're rubbish now having released American Idiot, etc. and were good before they were politically driven. Or at least so obviously politically centred.

Green Day have used the same 3 chords for every song since their debut.

Yes, i refer to this music as Rap. He addresses himself as a rapper, and it has an african-american feel to it. Throwing a sax into it doesnt make it jazz or blues, in my opinion. On the other hand, i dont really know how to split music in genres. There are so many genres of music that i lost track, probably because i dont really care. As far as i'm concerned, everything can be broken down in rock, rap, rnb, dance and other. I really dont listen to enough music to care any more than that. I merely commented on a song that i enjoy. i couldnt give half a hump what genre anyone else percieves it to be.

American Idiot was a great album, they've moved on from their older style just like most bands do

It's a song that missed the "I hate America and Capitalism" bandwagon five years ago. Lowest common denominator politics at its finest.

my misses loves this song and i quite liked it when i first heard it and she went and bought the album and im finding it a tad annoying now due to it bieng played all the time LOL
