Flooded car

This is exactly what I have done as I have now sent them a copy of the cheapest same model and spec and its 17500 from a private seller on double the mileage so I'm pushing for more on the car to take it closer to the 22.5 I would settle on

So I have accepted a final offer of £21'500 , I feel it was worth slightly more but I am happy because if I wanted to push for more it will take at least 8 weeks and I'm happy with the figure as it covered labour on my modifications aswell

I would like to thank you for all your advice on this and time listening to me rant on and on.

Its now time for things to start going right I hope as we have this sorted and also received our S max back this week and all I have to do is sort insurance out on the little Datsun outside :D

Thanks once again guys

You should still berate your insurance company in a strongly worded letter for their shameless attempt to pay out the least possible amount and making the whole process just that little bit more irksome.

It's the least they deserve - as they either gave you crap offers because they're tight as ****, or because they're incompetent and tried to offer you a valuation based on an entirely different spec vehicle (if I followed this thread right).

Insurance companies - I wouldn't make water on them if they were on fire...

Sounds like a result, considering they took the car away ages ago.

What's next on the cards?

Skywalker Chaucer insurance ??

You should have said that in the first place.

Those Mother****ers !!!!!! Written off my car on bent wheel and bumper damage due to flooded pot hole.
This happened at 15 November. I was calling them every day 2 times a day for 2 weeks (not joking) and even with that it took till 5th JANUARY to get my car dropped off back with cat D. And another 3 weeks to get money paid out.
This is photo of the car once they finally dropped it off and i put spare wheel on.

Yes Chaucer via paceward via the MLR and Chaucer insure 95% of Evo's on the road. I managed to spend time talking with the head engineer and he seemed to be reasonable to deal with. Now its a waiting game for payment so I am hoping by next week its in as I have just booked a little city break next weekend to relax lol.

Insurance on the Datsun starts 8th of next month which is ok as we only need one car as kids are not at school untill the 8th :D
