I'm upgrading a few components and adding a waterblock for my gpu. I will also be changing the fluid from a ek green variety to mayhems pastel red. Do I need to do a complete flush and take out of the rads etc? I'm guessing I do but just thought I would check.

My current system

Yeah. I made the mistake of flushing everything except the pump when I went from EK Red to Mayhems white pastel. Ended up with pink. I have just stripped that all down for my new build and was suprised how much gunk had built up on the cpu block. The Nikel gpu blocks were a little stained as well so will need stripping and cleaning before I ebay them.

Yeah i would, there will be sum gunk in there sumwhere, that will leak green into your nice new red.

Its a good idea to flush the whole system whenever you add anything new, be it hardware or simply a change in fluid.

Thanks for the reply. I did do a complete flush. And glad I did take everything out as the dust for horrible and must have been affecting the airflow badly.
It's all back in now and temps are so low with my new upgrades so I'm very pleased.
