You're missing the point. In a civilised society that implements capital punishment (arguably an oxymoron), there is no imperative to cause the condemned person to suffer any more than necessary. To deliberately or knowingly cause unnecessary suffering, as part of the capital punishment system, can never be justified. The punishment is the forfeiture of the condemned's person's life, this is arguably justice; causing them unnecessary suffering before they die is vengeance.Una said:Sure I don't see why not...
