...I've never done this before and will be on Friday.

Can someone give me an idea of what is expected dress-code wise? I'm just planning on wearing comfy but smart jeans and a collared top with black trainers.

Cheers!

There is absolutely no dress code at all. I've not flown business but I do travel First whenever I use trains and I've never turned up in anything smarter than a pair of Levi's and a Hoody.

no dress code in business class, last time i flew i just had jogging bottoms and a t-shirt on as it was a hot day and a long flight.

No no for first class on trains it's pinstripe suits and top hats only :D

its good fun very comfy when i travel for work its always business class. Theres no dress code as far as im aware. Just as mentioned dont dress like a chav :p

I tend to only travel in jeans, t-shirt/shirt maybe with a hoody or something (depending where im going) No point wearing an jacket or hoody if im going somewhere thats hot.

I always where my DC's while traveling too as they are damm comfy !

If anything there should be a dress code in economy, some of the Brits who go abroad these days are truly shocking representations of our country :p

I propose:

- No crop tops if you're way on the heavy side
- Long-sleeved shirts/tops to cover up your sunburn

It's great how you can always spot the Brits in an airport :D

hehe ya

I remember a comedy where a sketch was to only allow in "fit birds"

lol, theres no dress code at all. Whenever I travel business class I never dress smarter than jeans and tshirt, unless Im meeting someone at the airport...then its a case of changing into shirt and trousers before I land.

I love the business class travellers who are obviously on it for the first time. Even though it's a Sunday they wear a full business suit, they try to look busy on their laptops and they sit in the lounge on their mobile phones talking loudly to their mate about how "business" they are. In trying their best to look important they just make a complete douche out of themselves.
I always take great pleasure in wandering over to them in a pair of stinky jeans and skate shoes and asking them to keep the noise down to give my head peace and to stop embarassing themselves.
