Flying Business Class...

Wear what you want. You paid for the tickets. As long as you're wearing something and you don't smell you're good to go.

Just go in whatever you feel comfortable - that's what everyone else does. The point of paying the obscene amounts for First and Business class is to be comfortable, so wearing a full suit somewhat defies the point (unless you have a meeting straight after landing).

I was dressed in nothing more than a pair of jeans, a polo top and a pair of trainers on my recent flights to Asia in First Class and, although I brought down the average age in the cabin by about 20 years, I didn't feel at all uncomfortable about my appearance.

Personally, I would book seats in the Upper Deck of the Qantas 747 because it feels much more private and cosy than the Main Deck. I find that the emergency exit seats on the Upper Deck is generally the best seat in Business Class. You can book the seat numbers by calling the Qantas reservations line.

PS. They give you pyjamas to wear on the flight when you board.

Already requested a upper deck seat :D And Pyjamas??? Do they have a changing room(s)?

I have images of all these old businessmen in R-Whites advert style PJs now ;) Wrong!

It'll be fancy dress on that flight. Go as a pirate :D

Weirdo...

He should obviously be dressing up in black and white stripes, preferably with a ball and chain around his leg.;)

T and Jeans is fine (went with BA a couple of months ago).

I flew back from the states First Class wearing ripped jeans, dirty converse shoes and my snakes on a plane t shirt. No one there cares less tbh.

When i fly business I always dress smart due to staff travel, but you will usually find people in anything, on a flight like SYD wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of people in pyjamas/ jogging bottoms

As far as I remember, the Qantas Business Class pyjamas were a tracksuit-like outfit in grey. And yes, it's sometimes weird to see a large cabin full of people wearing identical outfits!

No changing rooms - you have to change in the loo!
