I can't see why people think they are a menace and I certainly don't understand why people have a witch hunt for them, most not understanding what the drones are capable of. I use it as a means of expanding on my Photography etc and why not.
You say that you own the sky above it, you really don't. Drone code is to stay 50M away from people/properties, 150M in Built up areas. Below that you may have a case but you totally misunderstand things if you think you can claim aerial trespass on something like a plane..
As for shooting it down what do you think? you can't fire a bullet beyond the land you own (unless you have express permission from border owner).. You are also limited where you shoot, can't close to highways/public etc.
Personally I think air rifles should be banned, together with dogs, screaming kids and anything else that annoy me.
Hi
50m & 150m rule is to stay away from not be on / over property.
Lots of things annoy me, people who drive 50 in a 60 limit, cars not parked properly in car parks, m25 traffic, idiots who cut me up on the raod and then when i beep them they give me the bird !
So why can i not pull the MF from his car punch him in the face and stamp on his knees !
Well there's the problem is it legal, cctv and smart phones, and tolerance !
Tolerance is the problem as we just do not have enough of it these days !
I like my private time and privacy any who gets in the way of that will get my unreasonable, annoyed attention !
Ha,...
Opinions are like *********, everyone has one and strangely enough they are not all the same !
Perhaps the general public need education in certain areas of law, behavior and tolerance. As this might help us all get on with one another.
Drones are getting a lot of attention at the moment for almost colliding with civil aircraft. GoPro karmas falling out of the sky, being used to fly in items for inmates at certain HM prisons. What we do not see ( only the out put / product of their use ) is drones being used in films, wild life programs, search & rescue etc
