Just driven one of these, very nice car and different to what I've driven before. Can anyone give me good reason not to buy one??!!!
Already have and enjoyed it.yeah i must agree with this, not a very good choice of engines. very much what it says on the tin, focus with the roof chopped, nothing too special about it. but if speed isnt a concern try a test drive and see what you think.
Thanks Kev, good to hear something positive. Sometimes I wonder if this is a millionaires playground and not a PC parts forum!Love minebut I've got the petrol, seriously wish I'd gotten the diesel as the 2.0 petrol is a bit lacking.
I love the look and the feel of it, though I agree the rear is a bit of an afterthought.
I've not had a problem with boot space yet, even with the roof down, there's a lot of space underneath...

Well it was the top of the range 2.0 tdci and when we sat down and spoke about it afterwards that was the car that he gave me a price for, something which I hope I can knock him down on a bit. I'd be a mug not to try! Then thats all that matters mate! What engine did you try?
You're probably right but that sized car doesn't really appeal to me. What I like about the CC3 is that it looks like a normal sporty car (to me) with the top up and hey presto you can peel it back and it just adds an extra dimension. Bear in mind that my car history is Metro, Sierra, Mondeo, Focus, Megane and you'd probably understand why this might appeal to me!Its not just that mate, when you're spending £15k on a convertible (if thats how much it is new, I think it is? correct me if wrong), you're well into the territory of damn good cars, I would buy a Z4 for that money. A Focus CC doesnt even come close.
I really can't see that. I've got the brochure in my hands here and it looks like a nice car!^^^^
I've only seen one on the road, the front and 3/4 side profile look acceptable, its the rear end thats just wrong, when the boot looks longer than the bonnet you know you've got a styling problem, its got Lexus SC430 syndrome.
Seriously, are you a car snob?[TW]Fox;13561919 said:But a new FORD? Why!? Fords are great but not at 20 odd grand (Don't pretend its 12k because you are trading in, its not, unless your tradein has zero value).
Too small. If you don't need the back seats and want a car thats good fun to drive then perhaps look at the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0i, its got a folding tintop might look slightly camp but miles better than that ford thing.
I don't want to spend more money though, I happy to be a Ford man. Prestiege cars are not my thing. You either need more money / buy secondhand (upto 1 year old) or buy the focus.

I can understand why you're saying that but I reminds me of the Clarkson's of this world who test drive £500K supercars and then call the Vectra poop.[TW]Fox;13562030 said:The Focus CC is not a brilliant car. You think it is, presumably because you've yet to drive an actually brilliant car. Low standards are not a reason to spend £16,000. I suggest you drive some more cars so you can get some perspective, then you might realise how £16,000 for a Ford Focus really is rather a lot of money.
Secondly, the new car thing. What? I'm not going to suggest you buy something ancient that'll break all the time but come on. It's a car. It's not going to explode after 3 years. You'll find loads of decent 2 year old cars that are better than this Focus in every possible way.
You'll regret spending so much money on such a mundane car one day, I just hope the regret comes before the cheque is signed.
