Seriously, are you a car snob?
Not at all. I owned a Ford for 2.5 years and it was a frankly excellent car. It's still in the family and remains a good car. No issue with the badge whatsoever.
But it's not worth the money you are considering paying.

Too small. If you don't need the back seats and want a car thats good fun to drive then perhaps look at the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0i, its got a folding tintop might look slightly camp but miles better than that ford thing.

I don't want to spend more money though, I happy to be a Ford man. Prestiege cars are not my thing. You either need more money / buy secondhand (upto 1 year old) or buy the focus.
Maybe I am but it's what I want.

I can understand why you're saying that but I reminds me of the Clarkson's of this world who test drive £500K supercars and then call the Vectra poop.[TW]Fox;13562030 said:The Focus CC is not a brilliant car. You think it is, presumably because you've yet to drive an actually brilliant car. Low standards are not a reason to spend £16,000. I suggest you drive some more cars so you can get some perspective, then you might realise how £16,000 for a Ford Focus really is rather a lot of money.
Secondly, the new car thing. What? I'm not going to suggest you buy something ancient that'll break all the time but come on. It's a car. It's not going to explode after 3 years. You'll find loads of decent 2 year old cars that are better than this Focus in every possible way.
You'll regret spending so much money on such a mundane car one day, I just hope the regret comes before the cheque is signed.

Hell bent seems a bit strong. I was originally asking for opinions as to whether it was a BAD car and nit the fact that there was a car park full of better cars. I know that, but it's a case of one step at a time as I try different cars and this is a step that I'm happy to take.
I'll probably find that down the line when I move on from this car I might try for something more to what is being suggested here but for now I'm quite happy to go for the CC3. It's a nice car and I like it![]()
