Still being plagued by these pesky, low-scoring 8070/8071 GPU WUs :( Bit of a nuisance since most of my output is from GPUs. I suppose these are the ones that are important to Stanford just now so I'll have to grin and bear it.

Good increase for the team again, thanks largely to a huge effort from BaBa.

I'm seriously considering a 4p system at some point but I still have a fair bit to do on the SR-2 project and I have plans for the gaming rig too so it won't be for a while. I'll be seeking advice from the 4p guys at some point in the future :)

Thanks as always to Dekez for the news and a warm Foldy type welcome to the new Folders :)

FOLD ON TEAM 10 :D

I can't. I want to fold with friends. We're all building 4P systems. Not because we have plans to take over the world or anything, but it's fun to talk about it with eachother. I am personally a believer that it is all friendly competition. At the end of the day it's the research that counts. It's not like my EPEEN will grow because of PPD.

That's the proper attitude :) I, for one, am delighted that you like to contribute to this forum and offer advice and encouragement even though you're not Folding for team 10. It's nice to see a bit of cross team banter. We used to get it a bit a while back - members of other teams would come in here and have a bit of banter and some of us would do the same to them. It was mostly light-hearted messing around that helped foster a sense of camaraderie between people with a common cause. I wish there was more of it.

Lets shake hands then :)

My current project is a 3770k with two gtx670s all under water and OCd being used for folding. After that I have an internediate gaming build which I will sell to a friend and then I will start on a 4P system. But I am keeping my eyes open for a good used G34 4P mobo. Why are these things so crazy expensive? It's downright silly.

I was thinking of doing something similar. After I finish the SR-2 build, I was thinking to tidy up the gaming rig and try to sell it to help fund the 4p build. Trouble is, with it being highish spec (by then it will be a 3770K with a GTX690 and 32GB RAM), I'll be struggling to get a decent price for it so I may have to either split it or keep it.

The price of server stuff is quite scary :(

I'm selling some cheap 6166HE's on the happy clappy watery place. Then you just need the mobo and a little bit of ram :)

Tempting but I'm determined to concentrate on the SR-2 build for now and then the gaming rig. I don't want to have 2 or 3 builds on the go at once - I get confused enough walking from the dining room to the kitchen to fetch some forgotten item :o

Punching way above 1mil now

Only problem is that the 16core is actually pulling the full rating from the PSU, 875W so looks like I need to swap it :eek:x2

I got the Antec Platinum 1000w for each of mine - should be enough (fingers crossed)

I'm getting between 1.2 & 1.25M ppd average (when i'm not using my main rig - which I am at the mo)

:D

Just checked - Motherboard is in the UK (Customs Clearance) :D
