+4 million PPD for the team, I've never seen it that high, granted I haven't been here that long in comparison to many of you but surely that has to be a record, and what about team position, what's the highest we've ever been?

Actually I've been doing a bit of digging and an [email protected] rig should be pulling around 725W from the wall according to others with the same kit. So yes more efficient by 100W at full load, and of course another 40% in terms of PPD, but not as bad as I thought.

Makes you wonder what a 6300 Opteron rig would get. Mind you the 6386SE are more expensive than the 4650's

Well you can up the voltages to help with any OC that you do manage to achieve.

You will need to use the OC bios from hardocp's forums and you are effectively overclocking by upping the fsb so having fast memory helps. Also you really need to put heatsinks on many of the motherboard chips once you start overclocking and have good airflow across the mobo as well as good cooling for the cpus.

Take a look at the guide here at hardforum where the OC bios for Supermicro boards was made.

Just remember be very careful when flashing the bios on these expensive motherboards you can brick the board by using the wrong or missing switches in the flashing tool

LB is now pulling over 1mill ppd average with Biffa not far behind:eek:

Need the G34 motherboards I paid for to arrive, paid 25th march shipping by 1st may!!!

Thanks for the link. What speed memory did you use for your 6166HEs?

I will sure follow the guide one step at a time for sure. Bricking a 750 euro mobo is something that would make me .... cry..... probably :D

Motherboard has arrived.....at Post Office :D

Unfortunately, as I'm now on days I won't be in to collect tomorrow :(

So, if they do try to deliver tomorrow I'll have to wait till Wednesday to go to Post Office to collect.

Which means - if everything is ok with my purchases it should be up'n'runnin by weekend :D

Woohoo! I'm away in Spain for two days. But I have splooged a wad on 4 spicey somethings. But I'm gonna take my time putting the bits together.

Shh..

just noticed ocuk moved from 27th to 26th, , starting to crawl back up the leader board.

do you think you'll be doing 1.5 million ppd then in the future biffa?

oh ye, them 2 g34 boards baba ordered im sure hes got them to build 2 more full builds with parts he already has to sell on, imagen if he was to use them :o , he would be over 2 million ppd?
