Ah update time, thanks :)

Quick check - weekly dumpage is where it should be and don't expect this to increase. My PPD here is a bit off because I'm seeing 322k PPD rather than 174k PPD but understand this is random depending on project lottery.

Briefly had core 21 but back down to 18 for whatever reason.

Did break 1MN PPD and only through reducing threads down to 8, each GPU needs 2 threads and found any more doesn't a difference. All while running on Medium folding power, odd how that slider doesn't affect PPD even though system was more responsive versus Full

Sweet to see over 1mil ppd FMTopfan !! Is there a guide somewhere to explain the cores? I see ppl talk about better cores etc..(i.e. you briefly had core 21) or is it just as simple as the higher the number the better?

FMTopfan, are you running cards on standard clocks or OC'd? That's good results I think I was running 10 of my 12 cores on cpu, maybe I should switch them down to 8 of 12, I was getting 800k last time I was running.

Well I would if I was at home, will see in 4 weeks !

colinmcr - I'm running them at stock clocks with temps limited to 81C. Get good enough clocks boosting without OC (1328MHz atm) but would have course love a full block to allow stop throttling.

No OC for marginal gains, prefer to keep system efficient seeing as this already pulls 800W. GPU's must be pulling approx. 330W each, from this the 980 TI's aren't hitting the peak of 370W it should because I set temp limit on it (GPU usage 92-94%).

Yet despite the limits I hit 1MN PPD easily on Medium power, this only limits CPU folding to 73% and not at all bothered about the lousy PPD on that.

Running with 2 threads per GPU is sensible and you can easily change this at will to see the gains. 4930K is down to 8 threads total for CPU, 2 threads for each 980 TI. For those without Hyperthreading this is equivalent to two CPU cores per GPU, best not to create CPU bottlenecks when the PDD from GPU is huge.

I am curious, I may try and stop folding on my cpu and see if my 970 improves as currently I have 2 of 4 core folding aswell.

I really need to get this second pc in a case or something as it keeps getting knocked when im at work and shutting down for the night so its not really done any work yet :(

rob- I see you've started dumping a load of points lol, I found another 280x cheap but I think ill see if I can find another 290 as myn is doing upto 300k ppd some days

Going to make a concerted effort to get my machines all running in 3 weeks time, I have 8 gpu's potentially although might sell the two 680's.
I'm also going to have to finish my ethernet run into my attic storeroom, I ran the cable just never terminated it (yet), then I can fold away 24hrs without to much annoyance from the Mrs !

Out of sight out of mind !

Looking to replace the 780ti in 2nd rig with a gtx950 then put that 780ti with the other one on the test bench for now, 2x780ti should get around 560k ppd i reckon :)

The gtx950 should do what i want in the 2nd pc; it runs 2 screens, six 24/7 cctv live feeds on screen 1 with the whole screen being recorded 24/7 and screen 2 is running satellite tv and dvr full screen. Currently gpu usage is around 25 to 35% on 780ti

what ppd is the 760 doing for you

There's a F@H database that shows a 760 does 96,641 PPD maximum. For comparison (slight OC only or reference clocks) a 7970 scores above the 680's at around 120k PPD, 780 scores 195k PPD, 780 Ti scores 330k PPD, 290X scores 317k PPD.

It's not until you get down to a 970 that Nvidia allows AMD to catch up and only with a Fury X at 360k PPD. Could do with our own version to verify results but for now this will do.

One thing to note for myself is that once I get my other folding PC back, currently single PC only, is that 120k PPD is low for a 680 while a 780 Ti makes it worth while. Does mean I would have to upgrade my PSU to cope and may do custom loop once I get funds, has to be Mayhems cos I love their fittings :)

My 970 is pretty poor for what ever reasons :( only ever had 1 work unit show over 300k ppd most are 200k ish, my 290 on the other hand does 300k ppd most of the time, as for my 280x .... who knows, my PSU has give up:( not even completed 1 work unit with it. im off work for 2 night after tonight so will sort a new psu out and see if I can find any more cheap gpus.
