------------------------------

Good work again this week guys, everybody watch your backs for ChrisBrid! Some excellent folding there! :)

I've had a go at putting the change on the weekly amount crunched, if you're down as new it means either you weren't on last weeks or I've just cocked it up (I didn't keep the spreadsheet from last week so had to do it manually :o)

I'll try to add on the points increase as well next week. :)

I also created a new folding guide so let me know if you have any feedback for that (I've done no real work today whatsoever lol :p)

I think you're using an old image for the top producers. I should be in 8th position in the top 20 list, but I am nowhere to be found! And Biffa is about a million points short! :p

Thanks for the news, dekez. The top producers did look a bit odd! Quite pleased with myself this week overall. Production is up, and my problems are gone :D. Did have a scare with a GPU3 server not allocating any work for a few hours last night, but all is well now.

TVM Dekez for the news.
Looks like people are upping their productions as I'm down to 19th place:(
Methinks I should've got the 460 on offer this week.

Naw it's just Winter. People are upping their OCs, people are coming back and so on. :D

I think I am doing quite well! :p

Booo! Down to the 3rd!

Also what happened to my leader board idea? lol ;)

Ahh leader board on the PPD chart, I was adding stuff to the weekly :o

Let me have a look...

edit: howz that?! if not I don't have any idea what a leader board is! :p

Thanks for the news dekez - was about time I joined back up again.
Especially with SB in my rearview mirror

Not sure the 'leaderboard' adds anything (other than more work for you)
single crunchers league would be better.

Hope you keep your data safe for next week, redoing the tables is a pita (been there and done that)
And day spend doing the news instead of work sounds familiar :D
Thanks

What site do the tiffe stats come from?

The Kakao stats team milestones section, they are rubbish I know they miss half of the big tiffys, ideally we need one that counts each mil but I've yet to find one :(

Speed - I finally understand! Sorry I'm being a bit slow. :p No problem I can do that and yep like you say it's not much work, if I set it up in the same sort of layout as the weekly amount cruched I should be able to fit the top 100 on there. :)

I can script a tiffy generator. In fact I already have, but it has two annoying drawbacks.

1: It has to download and/or parse the full stanford stats file. Not a huge issue but takes a few moments!

2: It has no way of knowing who active users are. I could make it complicated and have it remember, week in, week out, but the last time I tried that it got very complicated to write!

dekez, if you have an excel file you can save as a CSV, I can parse that instead and generate your tiffies. Would take a matter of seconds with such a small file. Though you will need to use Powershell! :D

That sounds good SB, what would the csv file need to contain? Username and current points?

Yep, that's all the script will need.

Assuming the CSV will be:

username points
user1 123456
user2 234567

and so on, I can knock up the script shortly and post it here.

Which version of Windows do you run?

EDIT: The script is almost finished. What rules do you want for tiffies?

At the moment I have been using:

0 to 100,000 points will get you a tiffy every 10,000 points
100,000 to 500,000 points will get you a tiffy every 50,000 points
500,000 to 1,000,000 points will get you a tiffy every 100,000 points
1,000,000+ points will get you a tiffy every 1,000,000 points

I can make changes, I just need to know what intervals are preferred.

Windows 7/XP at home XP in work but the systems are pretty locked down so I doubt powershell scripts would run, I can just update the tiffy section when I get home though.

Those intervals look good although I'd probably combine the middle 2 to 100,000-1,000,000 and have a tiffy every 100,000. What everyone prefers really, cheers for this.

OK dekez, I made the changes.

Since you can't use Powershell at work, you will need to use it at home. XP does not have Powershell installed by default, so you will need to download it from here.

Install the update, then open up a Powershell console. I assume you're running an Admin account on XP. Powershell can be found in All Programs > Accessories > Windows Powershell.

A console window should open.

Type in the following and hit enter:
Code:
Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
You may be asked if you're sure - say Yes.

That command tells Powershell to let you run scripts. You only need to do it once.

To run my script, type the following in a Powershell console, pressing enter after each line:
Code:
cd "C:\path\to\script\folder"
./generate-tiffy.ps1
Follow the instructions in the script. Download the script here: http://www.aeternum.co.uk/folding/Tiffy Generator.rar
The file contains the script, a readme and an active users csv I used for testing.

I may be able to work out the active users by parsing the XML files that EOC stats provide. Until then, you will need to create your own CSV with the most recent stats.

EDIT: Just to prove I am a smart arse, you could make a change that will create a link to the Stanford tiffy page!

Just paste
PHP:
 Add-Member -InputObject $user -MemberType NoteProperty -Name "Link" -Value ("http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/cert.php?u=" + $user.Username)
After line 41. Completely optional of course :D

Thanks SB, I used powershell before with your folding restart scripts so no worries there, I'm actually away at the moment but will give this a go when I'm back tomorrow :)
