News everyone, all good my end, 970 has settled in and seems to be giving about 275k.

I'm finally back up and running so I obviously have catching up to do! The units have started off really slow though but I'm guessing once stuff has synchronised that it'll be back to normal rate.

Great news :)

Also great news, my 960 arrived and has replaced the 780 ti, so now I have a 780ti on my folding bench again and back to full speed too :)

And my 980ti capped at 40% power limit to stay cool n quiet in my living room:

I'm a happy bunny again :D

Is this something you can do in the FAH client?

I use msi afterburner (also used precision x the same way in the past) and just set the priority to power and adjust the slider down to 40% and it's running at 54C at the moment and silent too.

On the vga on my test bench I set the priority to temperature and set it at 70C to stop the card heating the room up and the power limit is set to max.

I use 1:1 fan profile on both cards

Can someone explain to me what are the best settings for FAH in order to get the max output.

I have an i7 4770, Radeon R7 360 iCooler 2048mb graphics card and 8bg of ram.

At the moment all the settings are set to default so it is running on both CPU and GPU. Is this correct as I see from the screenshots from currob that he only has the GPU running, why is this?

I limit FAH to only run when idle, if I have it running when working the windows jitter when I try to drag them around my screen.

Thanks

I removed the cpu slot in order to use it for boinc projects as i feel the cpu is much better utilized for those. You'll need to keep one core/thread of your cpu free per gpu folding slot, and have the slider set to 'full' to get the best results.

You could also try setting the slider to 'light' when using the pc for other things (instead of idle) to see if that helps with the overall responsiveness but i do think that will only affect the cpu and not the gpu, when i've tried it before my gpu slot ppd did not change.

Thats interesting as the slider definitely affects my gpus PPD.
