Folding@Home Weekly Team News - 29th March 2007

A poor week (or two) for me. :(

PSU on my C2D died so that was out of action for 2 days until new one arrived along with a Samsung 226bw (to the wifes surprise ;) ) and then I decided to retire the P4c. After untangling all the wiring and moving the Opty rig into sons bedroom I had probably been slacking for three days in total. :eek:

So I am now down to two PC's only with both running the WinSMP client as I got fed up with VMWare and Linux. Result is that ppd is now down to 2200-2400 depending on which wu's are running.

The upshot of all this is that cell 8 is now there for the taking boys and girls!

@stan
If I could, I would be you man. Excellent contribution to the team effort there.

@Rich
Thanks for the stats mate. Quality as usual.

@New Folders
Welcome to the finest team in the world one and all.

thanks for the news rich (was much better that my attempt - but then you've got time to burn ;) how the hunt going btw)

Lots of new fokes, welcome one and all - especially the newly additcted :D

Great week for me, as back in the top 20 and both ID's gained 4 stomps lol. all thanks to those nice people at stanford and their SMP client.

@ d - you could always but your borg on another ID so that your main rig is a single cruncher attached to your total points score.

@ stan - you earn to much :cool: but to be honest you'd be as welcome here if you only had one rig. but still 10k a day! :eek:

@Mattus - nice one, now just sit back and watch the points roll in.

It's currently running 2 standard Windows clients which will be replaced with SMP when I change the CPU.

As if I'd have a rig not Folding :rolleyes: :p

Stan :)
I leave nothing down to chance!
anyway, why not install linux on there and get the linux SMP down! more PPD!
