You're very much right. blitz2163 is talking about some one EUE'ing (Early Unit End) which is usually a result of machine instability. However, I can't figure out who he's talking about. :o
Yea sorry not very well worded :) i mean myself, hmmm well my machines fine so i take it it must be one of my borgs :( thinking about it my mate did say his machine blue screened the other day suppose i can check it out while hes away for the weekend :)

been a good week :D

are you guys still using only one machine
thats nuts... concord_rules your F@H page says
Active processors (within 7 days) 7

?

i hit that one yesterday, just about to finish it now (18 mins away or so)

7! I don't even have that many cores

Mac hasn't dumped anything :/

Did reinstall this week as well so thats 6...

:/

looking forward to seeing the team news next week - after nearly 1 1/2 years of not crunching at all i've started folding for OCUK :)

How do i get on the single crunchers list?

Bad news fokes - landlord pay us a visit today - They think theirs a power drain / fault (can't think why  :D ). so not only do we need to have a complete shutdown this week end (even server which I'm not happy about, and directors don't seen to see the reprocussions of shutting down a server that hosts websites and mail  )

But it also mean from monday only two machines (mine & Server) will on 24/7 at a loss of over 1k crunching hours across the farm
At that rate some of the single machines will out crunch me :(
Sorry fokes nothing I can do about it, but I'm still 100% behind this team dispite the reduced future output.

Note: for thoses that don't know our electric bill is included in rent.

harsh, cant you set up the computers to turn on again once everyone has gone home for the night and then turn off again before they come in in the morning, atleast until landlord comes down again :P

IE BIOS wake on alarm 7PM (assuming everyone goes before then) windows turn off 6AM

That's kind of what I've set up anyway (but with permission) which ever way I do it electric is still being used 22/7 - and that's now been monitored.
I've borged the landlords pc's too btw so that's 25pc running at 100% for 12hours with 10 pc's running another 10hours on top of that - all via the same electric meter

That's a lot of watt's

yeah i was meaning do it until he gets his next bill (quarterly?) and comes down again then shut em off :P
or stealthily keep the best PCs active still, and leave the rest off, are there any in there that are majorly better folders than the rest?
or maybe some that are low power users, cant give up though :p

give up - pah! never.
Of late I've only been useing the 3.0 HT P4's over night anyway (that's 7 machines) as the 1.8's are worth the lecky. Might just keep going with the 4 in my cluster and the server as that's on all night anyway.
That should use at least 50% less electric that my all machine all night days last month :D
I'll also but them all back to stock as the minimal OC's not really helping them much, every little helps ;)

well assuming i stop getting appalling WU's CONSTANTLY, i think my output will eventually creep up to 1.2-1.4k so if u dont keep above that ill catch u in........a few years :D hey does that mean 'lemonan' is going to cease to exist now? :p

A bit of a bad week for me as one of my machines keeled over (my X2 4400+ :(). I was out of the country so couldn't fix it - it is, however, back up and crunching so hopefully that should bring me back up to steam!

W00t w00t my mate gets his E6400 next week! He's asked me to help him install software etc, might just borg it while I am there :D

Been having a think about this file server/C2D upgrade and have decided no matter how I do it it will cost me up to 800 quid. So, I have decided to just upgrade to an E6600, sell old mobo and ram and stick the 4400+ in my bros machine.

File server will have to wait!

hmm iv'e just checked and i think my production will go down before it goes up, across 6 cores i have:
3 1808's
2 1809's
1 2124

PPD is like 640 for the whole lot :( wont be gone tuesday till most of them clear off the slowest pc's either, is there anywhere i can email stanford to insist on some better WU's? :p

No lemonan is another borg way out in west london (she still running 24/7)

Lol, that's brilliant. No wonder he's annoyed - you even stealth-borged his pc

Not a stealth borg - I asked him and borged all 5 of this work PC's :D

Just had a chat with him - bill was up £400 a month for last two months

But I started folding 5 months ago :D back to half speed
