meh. version numbers are completely meaningless. foobar has kicked ass for years regardless of what version number it is. you only have to look at itunes 9 or windows media player 12 to realise this.![]()
I've seen some of the customised set ups of Foobar2000 and have really liked the look of them.
The only reason I don't use Foobar is I get frustrated at trying to setup a theme I've downloaded only to find out half the plugins are no longer compatible and no longer worked on.
Can anyone point me to a page of themes where the plugins are guaranteed to work? I saw they have a iPhone plugin with album art support - which is all I really need as an extra.
not my cup of tea but this contains all the files with an installer.

you do have to read the help files as well though. not everything can be done automagically...![]()

it already does that bud, go to playback and tick "cursor follows playback" simples![]()
Whenever I load Foobar it doesn't read the idv3 tags until the song is played, can I sort it on load?
I use an older version of foobar anyway, as I need to use Panels UI component, which isn't compatible with anything after 0.9.5.2.
Works perfectly fine.
I've never had any problems with it either - I don't know what a component has to do to earn the title "crashware" (well, "crash", obviously, but how regularly and under what circumstances seems less than clear).panel stack splitter has recently been marked as crashware on the forums (even though it's been rock solid for me).
That's very much my feeling - in any case, foobar2000's basic philosophy seems to be the creation of a functional tool with form strictly following that function, and to that end you get the impression that the flashier designs (eg Falstaff) are frowned on and grudgingly tolerated rather than encouraged.having said that, i'd still use a vanilla foobar over any other media player out there. it's the core features which make it what it is (well for me it is. i'm sure others will disagree). the eye candy is just a bonus.![]()
