Football 5th-6th Feb 2011 **SPOILERS**

Yep :)

In fairness Leeds played a much more expansive game against pool, manyoo, spurs and arsenal than pool are playing today.
You have decent attacking players though. Should have rung 'Pool up last week and told them they could have Becchio for £25m. Bargain for them.

I agree that it's understandable. It's a difficult one, if they do end up conceding it's difficult to then change the mindset, and the whole gameplan is out of the window so heads can drop.

I think conceding would cause the heads to drop regardless of what system they had played prior to conceding. The important thing for them will be not to be beaten by the team that Torres has joined , I think not losing to Chelsea today will actually be quite a boost to the Liverpool players mindsets.

Understandable though, I mean 90% of the pundits had Chelsea to destroy Liverpool. On paper Chelseas team is about 10 times as good as Liverpools and their frontline is the best in the league. As mentioned earlier, a draw...by any means, will be considered quite a success for Liverpool and a bit of a failure for Chelsea. Liverpool wont be interested in playing attractive attacking football today which might leave them open, instead they will do whatever is needed to ensure that they get something from the game and so far its worked quite well.

Agree on the attractive side of things. Liverpool need results and should worry about playing "attractive" football next season. We don't have a team to play "attractive" football anyways. Hope suarez comes on.

More gay than a week ago when he played in pink and white?

Nope, we are football fans, fickle comes as standard:D

I think had Woy being playing this negative he'd be getting lynched. Carragher has been by far Liverpool's best player and probably the best so far in a fairly dull game.

I think its highly situational to be honest, if Roy had been playing this negative against a much lesser team then he would indeed get lynched. But to play this way , away..to Chelsea...with the best attack in the league...in Torres first return game...in a match that most pundits had as an absolute slapping, well even if it had been Roy doing it I dont think too many people would have an issue with it.

Complete dross so far.

This is the reason I hate games involving the top clubs, they are miatly overly defensive borefests when you are lucky to see a goal. For all my Arsenal/Spurs bashing of the last few weeks at least them teams try to play the game.

Give me a Blackpool/Newcastle/west brim game any day. Gooooals! :p

I disagree, I think he'd be getting hammered by fans for playing what seems to be a 1-10-1 with lots of long balls. It's King Kenny so all if forgiven, it's a horrible situation to be in.

Carragher has been the best player in a half where Chelsea have failed to impress and Liverpool have failed to play football, I take the point Liverpool aren't the team they once were, but still coming to Stamford Bridge and adopting a small club mentality isn't something a neutral would like to see.

Well all of the Liverpool fans I know agree with my viewpoint so ner :)

Edit - this game needs a goal badly. Really doesn't look like we're getting one unless one side conjures up something special..

But Henry was terrible in the air, unlike Drogba?

Perhaps, but if the delivery's useless then it's irrelevant who's in the box. They must think he's the best dead ball specialist.

Haha, loving the Guardian's little Torres graphic. Made better by his general ineffectiveness so far.
