Football 5th-6th Feb 2011 **SPOILERS**

Do we really need arbitration commitees in banter here now?

I mean fair enough if it's some 'Munich VS. Hillsborough' ****-flinging fest, but a (almost traditional now) 'antiquated tradition / nouveau riche' handbags at ten paces spat after a (former) top four fixture?

I don't see JohnnyG bawling or Purdy wishing Abramovich's family will be kidnapped by KGB remnants; are we really that sensitive?

It's called nipping it in the bud before someone gets banned.

I don't know if you know this but I am the designated arbitration committee member of the Sports Arena.

The 'peacekeeper' if you will.

Would be very interesting to see where Liverpool would be if Kenny had been in charge all season. I suspect in the top 4 with a happy Torres still on board.

Jesus you're dreaming, look at the teams you have played since Kenny has been in charge. Chelsea apart (who as we know have been all over this season) only Stoke are in the top 10.

Blackpool, Lost 2-1
Everton, Drew 2-2
Wolves, Won 3-0
Fulham, Won 1-0
Stoke, Won 2-0
Chelsea, Won 1-0

I agree. People are getting ahead of themselves. We should wait and see if we can beat any of the big clubs before we get too excited.

Yeah. Personally I'm just relieved we look like winning games which we never did under Roy. Lots has also improved - shape, passing, defence (which was truly shocking), morale, and the supporters outlook.

We aren't a top 4 club again, but it sure feels good to expect to win games again as opposed to expecting to nick a draw.

Carragher's been arrested! When questioned by police he insisted he'd merely forgotten about the £50m he had in his pocket all afternoon.

Only just watched the game, terrible, as in poor quality game, poor result, poor everything.

Chelsea were just rubbish, pushing Lampard into a, not holding role, but taking away his ability to run into the box is killing 90% of his goal threat. Drogba is still having a bad time, Essien was woeful, Chelsea playing "safe" football, IE, going back to often, too much side passing(and done badly too often), being unwilling to take on a player on the wing. Liverpool were much the same.

Then again liverpool played a heck of a lot of long ball football, largely to Kuyt who barely won a ball all game.

Liverpool really didn't deserve to win, then I don't think Chelsea did, Torres's blocked shot was pathetic, was a pass to Reina that Caragher intercepted, even worse was the commentator apparently that was good old fashioned defending, getting your body in the way of the ball....... old fashioned how exactly?

Penalty, yup should have been, Ivanovic was trying to get to where the ball was coming down, Johnson came across him, shoulder barge, no intention of getting to the ball.

Should really have ended up 1-1 with the penalty given, and a generally rubbish game with rubbish attacking football and a distinct lack of quality on both sides.

INcredibly dissappointing that the "new Liverpool" under Dalglish went for a draw, went to knock the ball long frequently with a lone striker and left a 23mil player on the bench because they weren't actually after the win. Oh well.

I've got to say I'm not getting this 'nailed-on penalty' thing at all - it was pretty inconspicuous and you see worse every single corner or free kick.

Johnson didnt move into his path, he basicaly stopped dead and braced for the impact. Decision was right imo, but I've seen them given and you probably wouldnt argue too hard if it had been given.

It wasn't that subtle but saying it should have been 1-1 because of that is kinda silly especially considering Maxi's shocker.
