Call me a sour red but;

How is carragher still on the field? That's a serious injury threatening foul
Why did VDS get a yellow card and not Reina for "joining in"?
How did Maxi not get atleast a yellow for studding Rafael like that?

Much to learn for rafael though. . .

Because Reina pulled away players rather than bitching, and actually tried to stop people barging.

Agree with Carra, possibly Maxi, although maxi was trying to get control of the ball and just misjudged it.

We better not being doing a Chelsea at this point in the season. Terrible terrible performance all round from United. Liverpool are destroying us.

Ref is shocking.

Really impressive performance from us. The passing and movement from our front 4 has been excellent and we were unlucky not to have gone ahead earlier with a couple of chances in the first 15mins.

Rafael was slightly too footed, but wasn't that bad compared to some you see, and his feet were relatively low. Yellow every time, red if you're Webb.

You're taking the ****? It was a shocking challenge, he lunged in off the ground with 2 fee. It's a red all day long, as should have Carra's challenge.

And Nani should have been sent off for violent conduct; he punched the Utd physio(?).

Thought he punched the ground myself :P

No, it really wouldn't, his leg wasn't planted.

Still a red mind you, one for Rafael too though =P.

Just seen it again, yes it was planted. 100% red for Carra.

@Baz, he won the ball well though. Play probably should have been stopped for the scrape on the thigh by Maxi anyway.

Yes i know it was a red.

By the time ref had probably got his whistle to his mouth Rafael probably would have lunged in stupidly already.

Agree a free-kick could/should have been given for Maxi's raised foot but it wasn't and Rafael's challenge was terrible. It makes no difference if you get the ball, he left the ground from a long way out and it was 2 footed. It's a red all day long.

Rafael is lucky, and unfortunately will take some of the focus off that horrific challenge from Carragher. How he didn't walk is incredible.

Terrible tackle by carragher , should be off but isn't. That's football though, not the first time someone should have been sent off and wasn't or indeed was sent off when they shouldn't have been.

Great game, Pool dominating it tbh UTD are so poor.

First 15-20 mins of the game there are huge holes in the defense.

Wouldn't even know half the UTD players are on the pitch, Nani, Evra, Rafael, Rooney, Giggs & Scholes all unanimous awful awful performance from them.

Liverpool's movement has been brilliant though Suarez looks great today UTD just struggling to track the runs and rotation.

UTD have a big problem end of this season into next VdS, Giggs & Scholes on borrowed time and no one there to really replace them.

Seems very strange that 3 huge players for the all need replacements at the same time you would at least want to break new players in slowly give them time etc.. but just doesn't seem to happen.

Say what you want about there bench/injury list but Giggs & Scholes were always likely to start such a big game which just goes to show they do not have anyone.

LOL. It was no where near bad as you're making it out, what about the tackle on him who never got near the ball but hit raf in the thigh? THATS a booking and Raf went in for a sliding tackle not a lunge........

Anyone think carrick could have at least tried to make a tackle on Suarez in the box?

Does anyone understand why it wasn't our free kick when Rafael got studded by Liverpool? If the ref blows there Rafael never dives into that tackle.
