Great performance from Liverpool. Gifted two goals to them they still were worthy of the 2 goal lead. Utds midfield once again shown up. Carrick nothing short of an utter disgrace in a Utd shirt. We sat back and let them play.

Whos fault is that?

Who buys the players?

Who sets the team up?

Who decides the tactics?

There is only one man to blame.

Playing anybody with some legs in midfield is the way to beat United, just get after them and they capitulate.
Scholes hasnt go the legs for it and Carrick is too slow on the ball.

In a way I agree. How this united team has lost only two games and topped the league is frankly an embarrassment for the rest of the teams in the league.

The team chelsea had at the end of last season, compared to any real quality coming into united, well chelsea should have won the league with 6 games or so to spare.

A very weird season all round for results.

70 years old, and currently managing the worst United squad of the past 20 years.
No youth players coming through, money wasted on crap like Bebe and Obertan, he started this season with FOUR first team players closer to 40 than 30, cant perform away from home.

Yes because players peak at 28 now don't they you. By your logic Daglish should not manage Liverpool as he 60. Wenger should not manage Arsenal as he is over 60. Harry Reknapp over 60 etc Hmmmm 1st and 2nd in the league with the two most experienced managers. Once again your arguments fold like a cheap suit

Fletcher and Hernandez should have started. Carrick and Berba off for me.

loved it when stevie kept shooting and scraping the post with a massive grin.

Did Liverpool respond to Utds song 'we're manutd and we'll do what we want', with 'you're man utd and you'll do what your told'?

And Liverpool will go on to lose against Sunderland as they lost to West Ham and draw to Wigan after beating Chelsea. Fickle team.

I saw blips of the match, so I can't comment on that.

What I can however comment on is some of the reactions of Utd fans in this thread over this past season has been absolutely mad.

At this rate I'll end up ignoring more supporters of my own club than others!

It's a team game. You seriously excell at the art of Muppetry. On the day Liverpool were better than us. Yes the defeat hurts like hell but we will get over it.

Same manager that took us to the top of the leave. Same manager that upto now see us with 3 defeats, still top of the league, still in the cup http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=90626383619 still in Europe. Vidic has been instrumental, would he have stopped the same result, probably not. Would he have made a difference to the game, most definitely yes.

Yup, frankly shocking to give Fletcher/Carrick/Giggs and Scholes(did he sign it yet?) new contracts. Carrick was just hopeless today, Fletchers a talentless muppet, Giggs, why was he still taking set pieces after his first 3-4 corners/freekicks.

Only two people I'd say didn't look woeful today were Berbatov and Rafael, the later going forward and actually trying as opposed to half the team.

Scholes has been insanely poor since he came back from injury, Carrick just doesn't commit to anything, theres a 30 yard attacking pass but theres a slim chance it would be intercepted so he opts for a 5 yard easy pass, but you have way to many players taking the easy option and you get no where.

Berbatov showed his usual insanely good touch, couple good balls in for Hernandez, but there was zero support the few times you got the ball upfield to him quickly.

Utd need an entirely new midfield frankly, Nani/Valencia aside.

3 points in the bag.
Suarez was unplayable (by Utds defence atleast).
Best part was happy birthday to kenny.

Suarez, did fantastically well for the first goal, but really should have been stopped on many occasions, other points in the game he wasn't really unplayable, infact I wouldn't have said that at all.

Ridiculously easy 3 points, it was 9 or so against 3 so a bit unfair. I say 9 as except for the replay where Maxi caught Rafael in the thigh with his studs I didn't notice him playing, and Gerrard was a bit invisible aswell.

I honestly find it hard to believe Arsenal, Spurs and City aren't a dozen points or more above Utd as they've played pretty similarly to that in all their away games. How the hell are they top of the league, seriously, how on earth is it possible a team that smegging crap are top of the league.
