**Football 5th-9th Mar 2010/2011

I'm most annoyed by the fact that we looked really on it at the start of the second half, then completely gave up when they scored a third - we showed nowhere near enough desire.

Carrick was absolute dog ****, Giggs needs a zimmerframe and we clearly can't cope with a makeshift back 4 when the midfield is too old (or ****) to track back.

Liverpool deserved the win because they wanted it more. Pains me to say it, but the only place to put blame after this is ourselves.
 
Excellent performance all round from us today. Kuyt ran his *******s off as usual and got his goals, Suarez looked lively all game and like he was going to create something whenever he got the ball, Maxi and Meireles's movement and passing was great and Gerrard and Lucas (in particular) bossed the midfield.

Defensively we weren't perfect but the control of the game that we had meant we didn't need to be.

He won't get the coverage he deserves but Lucas MOTM for me and not the first time he has been in a big game.

What's wrong with my memory? Go back and you'll see that I said Kuyt should have been sent off that day.

You won't find a decision given or not given that hasn't gone the other way in another game so I'm not sure of the point you're trying to make.

Ridiculously easy 3 points, it was 9 or so against 3 so a bit unfair. I say 9 as except for the replay where Maxi caught Rafael in the thigh with his studs I didn't notice him playing, and Gerrard was a bit invisible aswell.

I honestly find it hard to believe Arsenal, Spurs and City aren't a dozen points or more above Utd as they've played pretty similarly to that in all their away games. How the hell are they top of the league, seriously, how on earth is it possible a team that smegging crap are top of the league.

Suarez was unplayable to the Utd defence, as i stated, couldn't handle him. Left evra face planting the ground near the end.

Gerrard wasn't invisible, cleared countless balls from our box playing his deeper role properly for once, and had a few decent cracks at the end.
Maxi i agree with.

And the last point is probably because every team bottles it against Utd, and Hernandez is very very good imo.
 
Suarez MOTM for me, Whilst Kuyt got the hat-trick Suarez created everything for us today imo.

Good to see Carroll got abit of game time, Just a shame we lost Aurelio again :(

Absolutely fantastic LB when fit but it's time for him to be put down. You can't rely on him to be fit so the only way to keep him would be to have 3 LB's and then you'll be restricting somebody elses career.

Real shame because he's a class player.

Just got back from the pub but you hit the nail on the head.

Did Nani get confused which team he was playing for - that was the best / worst assist Ive seen all season!!!

Utd were a little unlucky in the first half, but Liverpool were better on the day (still give or take 20 points behind mind you lol) - and even with that its very hard to admit

VDS was unlucky with the first, but I think the 2nd has to be laid squarely at his feet (the free kick which he was a little loose with)

On another day Berba would have got at least two - but it wasnt to be

As to whether it makes a huge difference with the league only time will tell (but thanks has to go to Sunderland yesterday for that) - all square in the league (allowing for a win to Arsenal with the game in hand) - lets see what they can do with more away games than Utd to play.....

I thought he was comfortably our worst, and that's pretty impressive considering how bad Scholes and Carrick were.

Yeah should have both been straight reds.

Any other year and I'd be certain that man u wouldn't win the league with that team but I'm still not sure arsenal believe they can win the league...:(

I'm not sure he's on a basic contract tbh. I believe he accepted slightly more favourable terms on the pay as you play deal Rafa offered him, after he realised nobody would give him a basic contract.
