Suarez won the FSF Player of the Year award at the Emirates tonight. Not only has Suarez scored more goals than half the clubs in the PL this season, he's now won more trophies at the Emirates than Arsenal have.

Vincent Tan on a roll again...

“Tan Sri Vincent Tan was extremely upset to read quotes from the Manager concerning the possibility of new recruits, before he had been informed whether funds would be made available. He believes that doing so unfairly raises supporter expectations, placing unnecessary pressure on the club.

“His view is that due to the funds already committed, including the originally authorised summer transfer budget of £35m that rose to £50m in total, including add-ons, the Manager has been fully supported. The overspending of £15m has upset Tan Sri greatly, resulting in the removal on Iain Moody as Head of Recruitment. As such, he has stated that not a single penny will be made available in January."

Yeah like the Hull guy another idiot owner airing his dirty linen in public.

So speculating about new signings in January is raising fans expectations, clearly releasing a press release saying they're going to get no money and basically that his staff have ripped him off enough already is really going to please them!!

Just keep your mouth shut and speak to the manager behind closed doors. The Dave Whelan school of running your club through Sky Sports News is not the correct one :p

Owners pumping millions into clubs don't expect to be publicly disrespected, hardly horrendous behaviour from an owner.

A manager of an essentially tiny club spent 50mil in the summer, and before even talking to his chairman or the owner he starts raising expectations with the fans by saying he wants three signings.

Sorry but if I was the owner and the person I EMPLOY said that publicly in what I would deem to be an attempt to pressure me into spending more I would also be pretty hacked off.

There really is this thing in the UK where the manager can do almost no wrong, can demand the job he wants(rather than the job he applied for), can decide which responsibilities should be his(which other industries do managers get to decide or behave like this?).

Classic manager crap, if Cardiff get relegated he can look back and say "I just needed three more players, owner wouldn't back me, fans know that, it's not my fault". FAns, like those on here, always jump to the side of the poor manager..... the owner backed him hugely in the summer, he's done nothing wrong and has every right to be pee'd off that after spending 50mil the manager is making statements pushing for more funding.

Suarez has signed his new contract :)

A fan grabbed a nearby napkin, wrote out the basic words of a contract - "I hereby commit my future for the next five years to Liverpool football club" - at the top, then folded the words back out of sight.
