You don't think average players going for £35 mil is not horrendous? Kyle walker going for £50 mil is an absolute joke if you ask me. As a united supporter i do think we overspent on the players we bought. They however, were bought for a purpose (specialist positions) and have their place in the team. What the hell are Man city doing spending £133 Million on full backs! Its ridiculous! The markets gone mad, and sugar daddy backed teams like PSG and Man city are making it far far worse.

That doesn't necessarily distort the whole market. Teams that suddenly have lots of money as a result of selling a player might get taken for a few quid more and PSG and City are ******* money up the wall. That doesn't mean that the average german and spanish team has to do the same.

50mil for the best RB in the league (As well as being English and being bought from a 'title rival' is to be expected. As for the money we have spent this summer, I would argue it is probably the 'clearest' spending we have done in a long time. We had no senior full backs so we have gone out and bought the best LB in France and the best RB in England as well as a versatile experienced player in Danilo from Real Madrid if all three give us as much service as the last set then we have done good business, what do you expect to play for these players realistically?
Bit rich for a utd fan to be preaching about clubs like PSG and City skewing the market and the rate for what players go for.

Don't know too much about PSG outside of their huge state backed sponsorship, City however have multiple lucrative sponsorship's across the world and the massive TV deal. Our current deal with Etihad and Nike is below market rate and when we renew with whoever it may be then we will have even more revenue. FFP is dead and has been for a long time.
PSG spending over 300mil on two players whilst selling basically no one of any value proves this and has set the precedent going forward.

File me in the category of having zero tolerance for drink driving, he's a high profile person, and deserved more IMHO, yes that probably means sending him to jail, but it sends a strong message.

Is it over the top? I don't think so, he was three times over the legal limit.

I completely agree, I think the sentences for driving related offences are completely laughable. You can basically do something that is very likely to injure or kill someone and because you are driving its fine. My point is that you can't really expect high profile people to get a more serious punishment than what is given out to the average offender.

If you ever watch police interceptors you can play a fun game of "how little punishment will they get?"

100mpg in a 30? Hit parked cars, fly through heavy traffic and ignore red lights? Take the police on a huge chase involving helicopters and multiple police cars and cause £1000's worth of damage and you might get a small amount of time in jail.

Kirsty Gallagher got exactly the same sentence for having 106mg of alcohol in her blood, Rooney had slightly less.

I think there should be zero tolerance towards drink driving but the guidelines dictate you have to have a higher level of alcohol in your blood before a prison sentence is an option.

Please tell me your joking. Kyle walker best rb in the league? Hahaha. Sorry, but valencia is way way better. Especially in these last 2 years, he has been incredible.

Speaking of utd and our spending, did we not use money we earnt? Or did we use this hard earned sugar daddy oil money...
