Football Banter Thread

I watched the press-conference last night. Mourinho really is unbelievable. He gets asked about Conte's comments and he starts his reply, sensibly, by acknowledging that the press were stirring up **** by implying to Conte that he had called Conte a clown and how he doesn't blame him and then he says he wants to end the story, and comes out with that! :D

That was the charge brought against him but he was cleared of it.
 
Yeah it’s like Mourinho suddenly flipped mid paragraph, it’s amusing so whatever :D

Wasn’t Conte suspended for half a season though? Unfair if he was never found guilty of anything.
 
If Sky don't make Utd-Chelsea PPV then they're missing a trick. Conte's basically offering Mourinho out!

To be fair, it takes a special kind of **** to stoop to Mourinho's level. Seriously though, as funny as all this is, it never ceases to amaze you just how much of a classless **** Mourinho is.

Well you never know, man u's form might continue and after 2 years out of the top 4 he'll get the sack. I just don't see it working for him. They started great sure but they were up against awful teams and haven't looked very convincing for awhile. With 6 competitive teams he can't just park the bus against 5 teams and beat the crap ones to win a title.

Taking the high ground doesn't really have the impact after you've engaged in the slinging match yourself though...

Well no I wouldn't have responded in the first place. But once he did he might as well try and win it rather than just kneeling down and giving in.
