Where on earth are you getting these from CM? Kelly and Agger aren't even at Liverpool and a lot of those figures sound wrong - unfortunately in Johnson's case, he's reportedly on more than that.

Louis van Gaal has been charged by the FA over his post-match comments at Cambridge last month.

Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw at the Abbey Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup, later coming through a replay against their League Two opponents.

Van Gaal claimed after the first game that "every aspect of the match is against us" and went on to say of match official Chris Foy: "You have seen the referee.

"It's always the same. Everywhere I have coached these games - and I have coached them also with other clubs - it's always the same."

That quote has apparently attracted the attention of the FA, who allege that the United manager's comments "allege and/or imply bias on the part of the match referee and/or bring the game into disrepute."

Van Gaal has until 6pm on Monday to respond to the charge.

Seems a bit harsh, he won't like this. :p

Wayne Rooney

Do you feel that Louis Van Gaal's decision to play Rooney as a deep lying midfielder is a good choice?

Plus will this affect him in the forward role for England?

My opinion is that although he is having some good games and scoring I think he doesn't stand out in this role, yes he has speed, strength and determination I just don't see it... At a push maybe as a CAM due to his long shot ability which is where David Moyes played him as a CF which in my opinion fits the same role.

As for England we have a few decent strikers (Kane Sturridge Sterling)which would leave Rooney again not as a forward.

I don't think Rooney is a good choice as a deep lying midfielder, no. There may be times where him dropping back there would be useful, but not in general. He's better in any forward position, be it wide or central.

As for England, Rooney will take priority over other strikers no matter how good they are. :p

No, however the counter argument will be that with Rooney in that role / position Manchester United have been winning.

No, unfortunately he is England captain thus is very near un-droppable.

Personally, I do not think that Rooney should be first choice striker or midfield choice for England or Manchester United. His role as captain however has meant that he is the first choice on the team sheet, even if he's not worthy of being the first choice.

I am not sold on Kane, he's only had this season so far, however he is doing well (less of the enormous hype though please).

Rooney has real competition for the forward places at both club and country.
