Football Banter Thread

What happened to Michu? He was banging them in for Swansea then he just dropped off the radar. I guess Bony played a part but it could have just been that could it? Did he not get on with Monk or something?

He's playing for Napoli. And when i say playing for them, I don't think he's getting much of a game :p

EDIT

3 games no goals!

More "quality" banter from PSG:

Anyone want to explain this one to me?

He struggled with injuries and, when he was fit, was being played out of position as a lone striker in the Laudrup post-Cup freefall period. Then Wilf came good and took the limelight.

While I don't think there was any bad blood between Michu and Monk, there were always rumours about two other issues that may have played a part in Michu's move to Napoli.

Firstly, a division in the Swans camp between the Laudrup-swollen Spanish contingent and the rest of the squad [including Monk, who was still a player at this time]. Even if that were true, I'm not sure that Michu would play an agitatory role in such a thing; he always seemed very laid back outside the 90 mins. However, it seems more than coincidental that nearly all the Spanish imports buggered off again once Laudrup had gone.

Secondly, there were persistent mutterings that he had some sort of medical condition that, in the absence of any medical knowledge, I'll call 'glass ankles'. Whether that's true or not, who knows; maybe it was just something made up by a fan to excuse/explain his fall from the limelight, given his propensity for kicking hoardings after scoring, that buzzed around the forums and eventually became cold hard 'fact'. You know how these things happen.

His miserable Napoli record does seem to suggest that something's broken with the boy, if not physical then maybe psychological. After all, de Guzman made the Napoli trip at the same time, and he's doing well.

Technically he's still a Swansea player, but I can't see either us or Napoli employing him come the end of the season. Such a shame :(

I was about to post that video. Tbh, it's nothing we haven't all know about chelsea fans for a long time.

Ah, they're so funny.

Really disgusting stuff by Chelsea fans.... Not that I expect anything less. Horrible bunch (the majority etc) .

Yes because all chelsea fans are like this . Every club likely has a disgusting minority like that

The problem of racism generally is never going to go away and as a non-white chelsea fan I am both disgusted and ashamed by that behavior. I go to games quite regularly and I've never had any issues, I have however had a few racist insults flung at me by united fans, does that mean they are all like that? Of course not there will always be a vocal minority of racist idiots in this world. But please carry on with sweeping generalisations.

Hopefully they get banned for life and a criminal record for it but it doesn't excuse the ignorance of a lot of people branding all fans the same

There will always been racism in football, you just cant change all types of people.

But the thing that baffles me (in this instance with those chelsea fans) they do realise they have black (is that the PC way of saying) players on their team, which im guessing they dont hurl abuse at them?

Not worth trying to understand the stupidity of brain dead idiots like that. I made that very point when discussing it with some of my other chelsea supporting friends. These idiots probably happily cheer on drogba and co at matches.

Ah, they're so funny.

stupid post, sadly every club has whoppers like this.

football has and always will attracts a disproportionate amount of poorly educated knuckle draggers relative to just about every other sport in the world.
