Football Bets

all look like dodgy bets, anything can happen, and barrow vs histon even though it sounds good, youth and reserve players will be just the same as the first team when your talking about the lower leagues.

let us know how you get on, but tottenham dont look like they are going to win.

Really? Have a look at what happened to Weymouth when they lost nearly all their first-team players and ended up playing reserves/youth players.

they are playing at home and its not big enough odds to make it worth a punt on the away team, maybe if you got them at their higher odds then yeah, but at home they could easily hold for a draw if they are set up correctly and try to counter for the win.

they are the same odds as aston villa v west ham.

villa have lost martin oneill but i dont think it should affect the players too much straight away, the caretaker manager should keep the same system, with west hame being very poor, i see it as being an easier bet, but you never know stranger things have happened.

im hoping the big acc comes up, its 200 to 1 with £2 on it so £400. last year i made a 150 to 1 accumulator with £1 on it and i also picked an 10/11 team accumulator which won, but was low odds so only made £160 from £10. overall i reckon i was up £2K to £3K last season.

I reckon Leicester v Middlesbrough will be the 50/50 one there, you've also lost 3 bets if arsenal lose or draw, personally i try not to include one team in more than 2 bets just incase of a hiccup by that team

Yeah the crowd of 125 will really get behind Histon :D

yeah i have the same rule, but i dont think liverpool have the firepower they once had, both teams have their weak spots, but liverpool are a team in decline, hodgson will be trying out something new, wenger wont be.

doesnt matter about the crowd size, its only 1 factor, pitch, travelling, etc all come into play.

it makes a difference in junior football and semi-pro so i expect it to make a difference in the lower leagues. thats why you have the away goals rule, playing at home makes a difference, even if its a small difference its still a difference.

if they were playing away then yeah, it would deffo be worth a punt, but we will have to wait and see. lemme know how they get on, i wont be watching it lol

I'd agree, but being that it's the first game of the season then it's far too unpredictable for me :D

one or two of my bets are attempts at "sure things" but im not even sure on those being that it's the start of the season and we don't know what teams are going to be like yet

Liverpool to beat Arsenal at 2.56, with Fabregas and Van Persie out it seems like good value.

Liverpool

Doubtful: Torres (groin) Injured: Skrtel (ankle)

Arsenal

Doubtful: Denilson (abdominal), Diaby & Song (both calf), Fabregas & van Persie (both fitness)

Injured: Bendtner (groin), Djourou (hamstring), Ramsey (broken leg)

errrrmm nowhere does it say they are out, just not fully fit, whereas torres is also doubtful. therefore liverpool have no fire power if he doesnt play.

That's how it's done ;)

you got lucky with that arsenal bet, they done me over. to draw to 10 men with 45 mins to play at 0-0 is a disgrace. if it wasnt for reina making a stupid mistake who is the best keeper in the EPL you would have been £70 down there.

i must say though you do need a bit of luck. barrow scored a goal even though they struggled to get a team together. that would say the game was'nt the white wash you expected, and luck again.

enjoy your winnings thats a healthy bit of cash.

hopefully i have luck on my side next weekend.

Admittedly I got lucky on that one, I made a big mistake with it. However, next weekend I'll do the same bets, and I'll guarantee you I'll win again... ;)

Just did my bets for the weekend. All the following decisions have been made by my brother who said he could do a better job than me, even though he's only 15. If he's right I'll give him a tenner.

Sunderland to beat West Brom
Chelsea to beat Wigan
Man Utd to beat Fulham
Arsenal to beat Blackpool
Tottenham to beat Stoke
Bolton to beat West Ham

£1 bet on 45/1 odds.

it's looking like i'll at least break even, with potential good winnings. cannot believe mourihno lost to liege even when playing his 2nd team.

villareal are currently winning 5-0

How come on the Villarreal game it's got your selection as "Celtic"?

Edit - my bad, it's not aligned correctly.

I don't think trebles are worth it at those odds. I'd be doing 7-folds minimum there, really.
