Apparently the official reveal happens today at 2pm BST.

So who's going to be getting it and what would you like to see improved?

I've spent literally thousands of hours on previous games and for me one of the largest problems is the match engine. It's a resource hog. Board expectations also need a kick up the backside as they increase too rapidly. I'd like to see numerous other little implementations. Various scouting fixes and a more streamlined scouting interface.

Whilst I do agree that player happiness needs a tweak surely this is part and parcel. Obviously players at the top of the tier will require a little more tolerance on your part as manager. It's also down to the hidden traits of the player. If you have the editor installed you can remove unhappiness in one swoop :-)

You can set each of your scouts to cover any region and they will gain knowledge of the region and this will show up on your total scouted knowledge in 2015.

That is true but I think maybe what he is getting at is the fact large AI clubs tend not to expand their scouting knowledge much, as a result they might miss out on some of the best regens. Whilst on the subject of scouting I'd like to see an option to scout various regions without having to constantly restart. It's not so bad when you have a few scouts but when you have 26 it becomes tedious.

I wonder if I will still be in this years Football Manager :p.

Cannot wait. Over 1200 hours played despite Uni/Work/Life falling apart.

Hopefully you would have improved a bit in this release eh? Oh and in my current save in 15 I've just found my son. Only thing is, he's black.

I actually think the buying and selling system works reasonably well. The money goes through the roof only when you become a top reputation club, or when you are seen as a major competitor. The best way to buy players is at 15/16/17. I've got a dozen young players in my Under 21s. Most of them are potential world class. The most expensive was £8.5 million, the cheapest was £10k :D I think it is fairly realistic actually. What about this young 19 young old to Man U for how much?

You do realise you don't actually have to do the team talks etc? I've streamlined my game to get rid of all that jazz as I'm no fan either. I've also streamlined the leagues so I only have England and Scotland but still have access to 106,000 players. I do hope they improve on the database this year. It is mighty confusing setting up your first database.

Well I enjoy building a career from the ground up. Starting with next to nothing, and ending up with something amazing. FM is a challenge in that respect. I only tone certain aspects down, I love the micro management otherwise. I've also only had the game since FM13, and I've seen enough improvements in those releases to warrant each purchase.

One of the more annoying things in 2015 is some of the stupid board demands i standard in the bottom league (Conference). And they expected promotion, and everytime i was prompted, they expected promotion again. I was eventually promoted to the Premier League and they expected me to win the title in the first year, came 3rd and got sacked. Thats never happened in previous games

Okay I agree the board demands seem a bit unrealistic and I believe they are being 'toned down' for this year. However, the problem you are experiencing with back to back promotion expectations can be explained. I've seen this myself. It can happen for two reasons. One, is if you have a front-end sugar daddy. The board expectations are immediately increased in this case as a result of the extra income. Secondly, it's a simple matter of owning the best players in your league. If you use the editor and have hidden attributes showing when you scout players you will find the best players possible for your income and scouting coverage, but the caveat is your board will expect you to win or at least finish at the top. Now I'm not saying you are using the editor, but you have certainly found the best players regardless. This is the only reason for the board expectations.

I really don't see the point in being paid a wage? Surely you should be able to save and spend it on something? Something they need to explore in my opinion.

As a manager you mean? Well for one, it's part of the realism aspect. But it also effects manager reputation. Which in turn effects club reputation.

That may explain the back to back promotions, but doesn't really explain them wanting me to win the premier league, i certainly didn't have the best players in that league.

Well I've been in the position once, where I was expected to win the PL after back to backs from League 1 up! It was crazy. But this was only because I was taken over by a sugar daddy when I won promotion from the Champs to the PL. Part of my problem was I had been promoted so quickly my club couldn't cope with the requirements of the different leagues. So I went into the PL with League 1 facilities. But because I had a rich owner, he gave me a huge transfer budget. As a result of this, I had a poor quality club with masses of cash. A pretty ridiculous situation to be in.

Oh chripes is the beta available now?

2320 hours in 15. But I've burnt out I think. I see a handful of little features in the new release that look good, but also some I dislike. Like the new 'realistic' work permits stuff.

Yes the UI is more similar to 15. The graphics engine looks improved to be honest and I think the biggest changes are under the hood so to speak. But I'm still not certain. I'm more tempted with Fallout 4 and I can't really afford both.
