The price dipped under £20 on cdkeys so I got it.
Yes, that's exactly what they need to do. Scrap the current Football manager and build a completely new football management simulation.
To be fair some things remain dumb and broken like where you put the 11 players. An example would be me wanting to unbeaten in the league for over a year, And see how far i can go. I will use a defensive 442 Diamond formation with wide strikers... But!
It will not let you put the strikers wide enough, two strikers click into only two slots there is no way to play two wide strikers. I want to do it without move to channels and play wider shouts but it would be better if there were more places to put the strikers. Out of four places only two can be used for strikers. To achieve what i want i need to put a false9 into the CF position and have a front three on paper but in reality the ST False 9 plays as an AMC in the hole man marking the opposing DMC.
That is what i want to do, Man mark the fullback with two two wide strikers, Man mark thier three man midfield with my four (False9 and 3 MC) and leave a zonal back four so this is a mess to.create in Football Manager. It should not be so it could be fixed by opening up all the team slots or adding rows of 5 for better positoning setup. This is why i am reluctant to spend cash again, The game makes this diamond incredibly fustrating to do.
I know its not the same as being able to put the strikers in the top left and right corners, but this is what I do.
I play 1 striker in the middle, the other just to the right in a defensive or pressing role. And then an attacking left midfielder in a forward role. Its worked for pretty much the last 4 or 5 editions of the game.
The right wingback in this role gets loads of assists!
Yet again Ozil is impossible to sell. That's got to be the last 3 games now at least.

Anyone properly understand team fluidity? I thought it was based entirely on what formation you chose. But I've just chosen from the menu the exact same formation I already had, and changed from structured to fluid. And now can't get it back to structured!
What am I missing?
A lot of it is to do with the roles you select for your players. The more 'specialist' the roles (think wide playmaker, trequartista, complete forward etc) the more the system becomes structured, highly structured etc. If you select more generic roles (Central midfielder support, full-back, attacking midfielder etc) the more fluid the system becomes.
Hope that makes sense.
Pretty sure its based on how many defend, support, attack duties you have too.
The more support roles, it becomes more fluid.
I can't help but notice that you have a lot of attacking duty roles, I imagine you get caught out a lot?
