Football **Spoilers** 4th-7th November

I'd have taken a draw before the match but in all honesty it was really quite a boring one to watch.

Celtic went for the "Arry Redknapp" - grab a goal and then switch to 6-4-0. Some of their defending was very resolute and the first goal was well taken but apart from that I thought they were very poor. Coupled with the ref being on a mission to make himself himself look like he'd lost his marbles, and they almost got away with it.

Then again we weren't exactly setting the match alight ourselves. :/

What the hell happened tonight with united  how the hell it was only 1-1 is anyones guess!

it pains me to say it but tevez dont look happy :( , id prefer rooney + tevez to rooney + berba any day of the week. just hope he signs new deal.. .

I believe Tevez wants to sign but United are stalling until the end of the season.

What with Rooney and Berbatov being the "preferred" choice, I reckon I can tell you exactly what Tevez is thinking about it all.

Yeap, our best person going forward was Toure! We need big players when our opponents have big players . Idiot Wenger.

We had a good first half, but second half was appalling. It was very disappointing to see RvP not hit the net considering his next match is two weeks away.

This is the problem with Wenger, we've now played what, 13-14 games with a dire formation/team and he's basically played Cesc as a defensive midfielder for all those games, he's doing the right thing, he's taking responsibility and trying to defend because Denilson can't, unfortunately he's not a great defensive midfield and because he's not playing his proper role he's not on form going forwards, he's still hesitant to go forwards though throughout the game he was pushing further up, Fenebache are woeful compared to recent teams pressing us in midfield so he found less pressure having to stay back.

THe problem is, you can't blame Cesc, he's played about 10 games now in a new role he shouldn't be in, even then he put in 4-5 killer throughballs that no one got onto. The problem is when you play to create only chances for a 3yrd tap in for a useless twit upfront, you get used to playing that way and it will take games, and time to get back to playing better, thats life.

It yet again doesn't help that we played Bendtner as the upfront striker when game after game he shows he plays very well with a Vela/Theo infront of him rather than playing as the furthest forward player. Yet again we played the useless Denilson in midfield. I didn't really want to see Sagna risked but maybe bringing in someone from the reserves, Gibbs has been very good and play clichy on the right or something and put Toure alongside Fabregas. Then Nasri was having a very poor game while Ramsey was playing very very well, so off comes Ramsey.

But again, he piles pressures onto these kids by telling them they can't lose, he refuses to "test" players like Vela with real appearances, then he throws Ramsey, Vela on as a last resort after lots of injuries, truly great for their confidence,"i'm only playing you because i have no other choices" . Bendtner's played well then is dropped straight away, 3 times this season, then gets 10 minutes at the end of a dead game and then yet again injuries force playing a not in form squad because Wengers never heard of rotation without being forced by injury.

The biggest single change this year, is Denilson, infact we've played the same squad that won plenty of games last year except one difference, Denilson, yet he's the only player not being dropped while he chops and changes everything else.

After almost every performance this year, it was entirely not surprising we failed to score.

Only big things ref got wrong were red card for the elbow, which was so far behind him its not a natural arms up while jumping thing, then RVP got a yellow for making a one footed challenge from slightly behind though really just alongside and got the ball, whatever.

Yawn, do you just cut and paste the same cesc / denislon epic after every game, im amazed if anyone actually bothers to read any of it.

If we beat Kiev at home than that's us through essentially.
We can even get away with just drawing against Kiev next game. As long as there wasn't some kind of freaky 5-0 pair of games in the last round we'd go through on GD. I think a draw is probably all I could hope for on current form.

Didn't Gill come out a while back and say that you only had untill January to tie up the deal before other clubs could come in for him?

I think other clubs can enquire, but I also believe Tevez wants to stay and is officially on loan with us until the summer.

Yea i know you've got him untill the summer but iinm Gill said as of January another club could come in and sign a pre-contract agreement (like a bosman) with him.

All this talk of Celtic being a poor side yet the current European Champions couldn't beat us at Celtic Park. When you consider the gulf in earnings between both sides, what kind of game where you expecting?

Celtic played defensively and attacked on the break which is one of our strengths against better European opposition. You only need to look at our home record to see how hard we are to break down at home and how well we can cope against better teams such as Juventus, AC Milan and Utd. Away games mystify me when compared to our home record but that's another matter.

Weren't Celtics tactics tonight the exact same as those that you scorned Rangers for last season?

30 attempts on goal, 13 corners, 74% possession, 100% tackle completion

We should have murdered Celtic tonight but things didn't pan out too well, oh well we are 1 point away from qualification anyway :)

Newsflash, you are a poor side. Sneaking a quick goal and then putting 10 men behind the ball is not the mark of a good team. The only thing you can be thankful for is that we didn't equalise until 84 minutes. If we'd scored 5-10 minutes earlier I reckon we'd have gone on to grab a second...we very nearly did anyway.

You scored a good goal but that was all you did in the tie. It was 1-1 in your cup final, lucky for you there was no extra time.

It's a good job you're not an Arsenal fan as almost every Premier League team do this against Arsenal every week.

Ryan Giggs' goal for Man Utd means he has now scored in 13 different Champions League seasons. A record for the competition. Congrats :)
