Football **Spoilers** 4th-7th November

I believe Tevez wants to sign but United are stalling until the end of the season.

What with Rooney and Berbatov being the "preferred" choice, I reckon I can tell you exactly what Tevez is thinking about it all.

IF Tevez wants to shine - tonight didnt show him in the best light at all

Currently he doesnt even deserve a place on the bench let alone as a starter
(dont get me wrong last season he won us countless matches even when he didnt score the winner himself, but he is just nowhere compared to that form)

Rooney & Berba combination are streets ahead

Didn't Gill come out a while back and say that you only had untill January to tie up the deal before other clubs could come in for him?

I guess other clubs can sign him from Jan, but it wont be effective until the Summer (as Utd have paid for the full 2nd season of the loan agreement)

edit - sorry I hadnt seen you post effectively the same thing later (-:

I'm getting increasingly worried about Arsenals season :(.

i was worried after watching the pre season games and i didn't get caught up in the first month or two's excitement because this team is never going to win anything in it's current state......this unravelling was inevitable.

just wait until some more injuries start hitting around xmas, that will be the real crisis.

if arsenal don't strengthen in the january window it's undeniable proof that the funds just aren't there despite what we kept getting told, i've been on the record since pre season that the funds aren't there and i'm sticking to it.....i think anybody with an open and functioning mind can read between the lines and tell that Arsenal FC have been in the credit crunch for some time because of the stadium - this whole £3M profit after each home game is complete BS.

Not that I'm disagreeing with your main point, but it wasn't profit, it's simply that we make £3m in ticket sales, which is perfectly accurate (60k seats x average price of £50). Obviously, on match day alone that would be whittled down by the cost of stewards, cleaning, staff to man food/drinks, etc, never mind any player wages or the like.

To summarise drunkenmaster:

Denilson is poo

Cesc has to Defend even when we play a defensive player like Flamini last season

Eboue rocks his socks

RvP > Bergkamp

Vela/Bendtner are the Messiahs

Wenger is rotten at his job, and drunkenmaster would do a better job.

Our top scorer from last year is utter garbage, only scores from 3 yards, and Cesc did all his work anyway. It was like playing with 10 men.

just wait until some more injuries start hitting around xmas, that will be the real crisis.

err I think we already have those injuries. 5 first teamers out.

I'm really worried about Saturday, it's absolutely inevitable Arsenal will lose, but the scary thought is that it's entirely possible Man Utd could knock 5+ past Arsenal with relative ease, and that Arsenal don't have a goalscorer on the field.

The only ray of hope we have is that Utd defence hasn't been as good as last year, although no doubt they'll turn it around in time for Saturday

Our defence has been awful for weeks, its not going to be an overnight fix by any means, the only thing thats worse about the Utd team is the ratio of chances to goals, by rough estimates we would probably have to produce around 200 chances or so to actually score the guessed 5+ goals lol

I wouldnt bet on the foregone conclusion by any means (esp being an away match for Utd)

It's a good job you're not an Arsenal fan as almost every Premier League team do this against Arsenal every week.

What are you on about?
United week in week out are faced with teams who set out to do nothing but not get beat, same as we will come down to the Emirates on saturday and be faced with an Arsenal side who will shut up shop and try and hit us on the brake.

Rarely have I seen any oppositon other than Chelsea who really shut up shop against Man U, the lesser teams do as they have worse players. Can't see Arsenal doing that at all.

Arsenal can't shut up shop though?

It's exactly what they have done against us for the last 3-4 seasons

Possibly at OT last season but other than that i can't recall them sitting back and defending against anybody. The season before last they went to OT and were easily the better side.

Its called tactics not every team can spend £20+ on a player for each position.

WTF, obviously a joke G|mp has suddenly been permabanned?
