Football *Spoilers* 8th-9th March

United fans talk about games like there just guna stroll through them like there invicible, good to see them brought back down to earth.
Don't think that's entirely fair. You just need to look at the mixture of responses on here to see that a lot have been very quick to praise the performance of Portsmouth. Having said that, a few will no doubt come out with the same old excuse that United only ever lose by beating themselves.

lol Fergie's had a right go at the ref in his after match interview.

Fair play to Pompey for defending so well but in reality we should have taken our chances and won the game, in all honesty, quite comfortably :(

Come on Barnsley now i guess :D :p

Don't think any on here do. Video has swearing in btw.

I'll find some examples later.

I never said otherwise.

We didnt play well.
Still, imo, thats not a penalty. PIG didnt touch the guy. The pompey player hit him.
Regardless, it was never a red.
I have mixed feelings about Portsmouth. Sure, they defended "bravely" but for me, theres more to playing football than defending and if they cant come up with a system to compete while also posing at least some attacking threat-thats pretty sad.
Ive seen lower league sides do this against the best.

That's the way underdogs usually play against the better teams. We (Liverpool) have had that problem for years. When teams park the bus we just can't break them down and have come out as the losing side on more than one occasion when we should've comfortably won. Good tactics by Portsmouth imo.

I thought you were going to say that's how Liverpool play. :p

Theres little tactical about using an 11 man defense. its hardly a touch of genius is it :p
And im used to it too, most teams do it at OT, I would guess a lot more than against l'pool.
Besides, I could see a goal coming for us.
I thought both Owen and scholes were poor today. There was no speed to their play, it made things easy for Portsmouth. I would have swapped them for carrick/anderson at half time and actually left tevez on, instead of taking him off as usual.
I also feel this was a game we could have done with a striker option on the bench and so feel even more annoyed the saha has let us down again.
