Haha no way. Yes he is big and he's a black belt in something isn't he?

He puts the occasional sly kick or punch in then runs away or falls over. That's not hard, it's just cowardly.

I would vote Lauren, Keane or Keown.

I remember watching jaap stam getting sewn up at the side of the pitch...The man never even flinched.
 
Search Eward Lienen on Youtube....that guy is pretty tough getting probably one of the worst tackles i've ever seen in football and definitely the amongst the most graphic then getting up complaining to people about it as if nothing happened. :p

Funny how they say Rooney's leg cut was bad well it was nothing to the above go look....

That's in most people game these days.

Still fun watching him brush a side big bulky defenders in 50/50 tackles with ease. The guy got strength. He's unplayable when he wants to.

Yep, damn horrible, you could even see his bone on a photo if i remember and also you notice one of the guys looks away fast when he runs over to them lol.:p

There's a total misconception becomes someone roars at the other players or throws someone to the ground they become a "hard man".

I would personally say many of the 70/early 80's hardmen like Hunter, Bremner, Souness and Harris would absolutely destroy the majority of modern footballers, simply because the game has changed from battling on quagmires with socks rolled down, to a far more technical game.

I've read a lot about Billy Whitehurst being an absolute nut-case - used to fight bare knuckle with gypsies, and I understand he gave Vinnie Jones a hiding at Sheffield United.

Anyone considered Terry Hurlock?
