For Honor Beta Codes

Isnt that what happens to ALL games these days? :D

Overwatch is still going strong. Which is indeed a rare thing! I think they are trying to jump on the same bandwagon. They've been pushing the marketing for For Honor (urgh, honour*) REALLY hard. It's everywhere.

Played some of this over the last few days & enjoyed it. I usually prefer solo games & don't play multiplayer, especially not fighting games. I've seen it called a hack'n'slash in some promo article but it's anything but - devs have done a very good job with the combat system (needs some balance tweaks going by some of the streams).

& yeah it has a pretty steep learning curve; it's unforgiving :( won & lost a fair amount of 4 vs 4's but found duels tough going - the different moves (& i've only tried a couple of characters) aren't automatic for me yet so i'm still thinking too much instead of reacting or relying on one or 2 combos, which becomes easier for other players to anticipate.

not sure if i'd pick this up on day 1 (cheapest is around £30 right now?, from greenmangaming) but there's something addictive about its competitive side & the whole learning experience - even though i was losing it felt as if i was slowly making progress/becoming more comfortable.

ps - does anyone know if that price from gmg is the lowest around? thanks in advance ;)

Whats supposed to be easier? Mouse and keyboard? or Controller?

Im not liking the controls on keyboard and mouse currently..

honestly, haven't tried keyboard & mouse but other people have made the same comment about keyboard & mouse (not too easy). I've seen a few streamers using keyboard & mouse but a controller feels very natural in this game & works well. One issue though is that 'guardbreak' is mapped to the the 'X' button, which makes it fiddly because most of the time you need your thumb on the right stick - there's no option (as of now) to remap controller buttons.

Hmm fair enough, Ill give it a go on a controller tonight.

The game certainly has a steep learning curve.
