For the gym rats

5 x 77.5KG on the bench last night for me, I was pleased with that. Went for 80 but failed on 3rd rep, made up 5 reps with two negatives.

I want to be benching 100KG+ before i'm 70KG. I'm around 64KG now so i'm fairly confident I can do it.

Good job Wardie, I think 100kg is easily doable - just a matter of time.

Does anyone body have the problem of sweating when really they shouldn't be? For example in a lift or on the train; everyone else appears to be cool and not sweating, but I'll be sweating like a horse! I thought it may be something to do with bodybuilding or the supplements I'm taking, which are: NO Xplode and SizeOn.

Weird tbh, but are you sure your not just training your ass off? I mean I think it depends tbh, I have a m8 that sweats like mad when lifting weights, even after a couple of sets it's like a river and im like wtf? maybe it's because hes pretty fat, are you carrying a lot of weight? I kind of doubt that due to the rest of your posts but I think it's no doubt down to intensity, it's like if I sat walking on a treadmill for 30 mins I won't sweat tbh, if I run I will sweat like hell. Again I have never tried those products, seen good reviews, what is your review on them though? in particular no-explode?

no-explode is good for mental focus and an energy boost, which I find really helpful as I have a long day before I get to the gym during the week. After a few tubs the effects aren't as noticeable in the energy department but mental focus is still there, which is very important.

SizeOn is amazing. I get sustained energy throughout my workout and leave the gym still feeling like I can do more. Before I took this, energy levels would taper off towards the end of the workout meaning lifts would suffer.

So far with this combination and good diet I've managed to gain 4-5lb of lean mass in 2 months.

I've expressed my views on the likes of No-Xplode and SizeOn before so i'll not bore everyone with that diatribe again ;) instead i'll ask you this..........do you think without these products you would have been able to add 2lbs a month?

Only reason I ask is 2lbs a month isn't that impressive, certainly not enough to justify both those products  :)

I'm a hard gainer. Putting on 4lbs of muscle while maintaining a 9% bodyfat is quite an achievement I think. I now weigh in at 12.5lb which is great for my height especially with a low body fat. I think no-explode isn't worth the money, it's nice to have that mental focus and energy, but SizeOn is definitely worth it. The supplements definitely help me, and I imagine that without them my workouts wouldn't of been as intense and probably would have gained less.

Pffft get out of here!!! I know what its like mate as a former 10st streak of pee

I wasn't belittling your achievement, congrats(!), I was just questioning whether that same gain could have been achieved without all that stuff?

With the supplements I wouldn't of had the energy to push myself to make those gains. I do 11 hour days so during the week my energy takes a beating.

2lbs per month is the (estimated) maximum amout of muscle our bodies can add per month isn't it? (without steroids/hgh etc)

I think 5-7lbs per year, naturally (i'm not talking about in the first year) is more realistic....and that's if you get everything spot on.

The majority of my gains are from leg training. I used to neglect my legs but over the past couple months I have trained them hard, with excellent diet and supplementation.

I know I won't be able to hit a consistent 2lbs a month.

I've read some on Size-On, is this the tablets? take 3, 3 times per day? bit excessive tbh but explain the effects, cheers.

If you cant train with only a belly full of chicken and brown rice then you shouldnt be supplementing at all. Your just creating brand-centric dependencies that will blow your mental focus if missed.

For example, if you dont take your supps, then you lift, you will lift less right? But is it because the supps are absent or because your aware of their absence?

I had a training buddy who swore by these methyl-rage pre train caps. I swiped his bottles and replaced the pills with placebo caps that i made myself using hypoallergenic bulker only. He took this for 2 months, lifts skyrocketing. When he ran out he just moped around telling me how tired he felt all the time and his lifts dropped almost back to their start point. I told him in the end and yes he was pretty mad but it wised him up.

Im not saying supps dont work, ive had some great ones. But it is not the supps that lift the weight it is YOU!
