Who thinks we should have an OcUK powerlifting competition? Or at least a thread containing a table with our respective totals. Like the one on Muscle Talk. Would just be a bit of fun.

This is a brilliant idea, Ill be in England from June onwards for 3 months, I have a mate who has just opened a new gym in Milton Keynes so he would have no porblems with us having a meet there! :)

Would be great to have a jolly with you lot!
 
Did about 156KG (around 150 anyway) with the v-bar on the lat pulldown. On the lat pulldown straight bar I did palm facing grip close and pull-down on 133KG I think it was but I could have done more on that.

No, no, no. Please stop. I don't mean to be rude, but you do not pull down 156kg, you do not pulldown 133kg and you most certainly do not pull down 170kg.

After a google I have seen your pictures over at another forum and you do not look like someone who is pulling down anywhere near those weights for 1RM let alone reps!

I don't think you realize quite how much it is, let me put it into perspective for you:

I can:

Bench: 360
Squat: 410
Leg press: 630
Powerclean 310

So unless your destroying me on those other lifts too, I highly doubt you are lat pulling those sorta weights! There are members on here who are lifting MUCH more than me and even they arn't doing that!
 
How can we prove it though? Not that I dismiss a lot of the long standing member's claims - but I'd want some form of maybe video footage.

As I say, it would just be for fun, so all claims would have to be taken in good faith. Liars are only cheating themselves ;)

I'd suspect that for most people it would be difficult to get videos of them lifting. I often train alone, for instance.

It would be good to look at a glance and see where we all are, and if we're progressing.

Those are impressive lifts, 160kg bench press, how many reps are you doing? It's probably been asked before but how much do you weigh? it's suprising you can bench that much yet only doing 95kg lat pulldown. I bench 130kg and latpull down 100kg.

Those are my 1RM's, you can see what I work with over in the post your pics thread :)

I think lat pull down changes vastly as everyone does it with a different grip, personally I do hands to the very edges of the bar.

Im sitting at around 210-215 which is about 15 stone.

Didn't know where to post this.
Just made one of daily meals today. Chicken and rice in nandos spicy sauce. Into the freezer they go. 200g chicken 125g wholegrain rice.

I get them from my local instore. 99p for 8, so I buy a lot in one go. They're pretty much takeaway tubs as The One said.

Don't know why I'm posting this, but heres dinner tonite. Gotta support the gym with a sound diet.

Tried dragon flags for the first time today. Managed 6 before I felt like I was going to snap and I'm aching already - tomorrow morning will not be fun.
 
lol yes but I did put a note at the bottom of the image to point out that it's my missus' chocolate. hehe
