Noob question, has it been resprayed, as both my previous mondeo's had matching paint in the engine bay ?

My Mk2 had dull paint in the engine bay and boot floor the same as this one.

Might have had some work done on the front as there should be a black cover around the bonnet release which is a pain to get of with out breaking the clips. Which might explain why it does not have one?

Lots of cars have weird under bonnet paint finishes. Satin black or light dustings of body colour are common.
