Mine has no screen protector, I had a case for a while but it made it too bulky, and because it was rubbery, it made it impossible to slip into a pocket. When the case blew out of my rucksack (sans phone) while on my motorbike, I wasn't too gutted.
I make sure there's nothing in the pocket I use for the phone (common sense), and I put the phone in a little slipcase when I bundle it into the rucksack. The screen DOES scratch- I have several on my screen, nothing deep or major, and invisible when the phone is on, but don't be fooled into thinking the screen is some indestructible wonder material- it isn't. It's just toughened glass at the end of the day.
Oddly enough, contrary to initial expectations, the back of the phone (white) looks fine. It is scratched, but it's very hard to tell unless you look closely. The black ones I've seen seem to fare a bit worse in that regard.
