So I'm surprised to see no mention of this on this forum as of yet, so lets start it.

What we all think, imo I think it looks awesome, prefer the older styles but beggars can't be choosers unfortunately.

Its going come to the UK with 2 engines as far as I know, either the 2.3L 4cyl Turbo Eco boost, or the 5L V8, also has been said there's gonna be a convertible version :D

So if you haven't been living in a cave you'd seen stories of it already on most popular car sites, but incase you haven't here's one for you with some details about it.

Ford Mustang PH

What are you opinions about it?

A mustang that has an option of a 4 cylinder engine no matter how good is sacrilegious.

Im not looking forward to seeing a raft of the 4cyl at car shows after a few years with cheap ebay "roush" bodykits and chrome wheels. There is too many now.

I wonder why they're only going with the two engines? Surely the V6 ecoboost would also be a popular choice in the UK?

Welcome to the 21st century.

Dont forget it will be more expensive than the V6 version (in the USA at least where both are sold) and is not exactly a low-power engine - it has over 300bhp!

Low no of cylinders =/= a cheap car.

Does look sexy. Though i do have to say, a Mustang without the V8 sound, is just wrong. I know there have been non-V8 options in the past but for me, it has to be the V8.

Yeah, be a bit odd hearing a turbo rather than a V8 rumble.

No doubt the 2.3 turbo will sell a lot more units that the V8 aswell :(

If it takes off in Europe they'll probably introduce a diesel as well.

Hmm I know they talk about the M3/4 and such, but with a four pot turbo part of me thinks it will compete with the new impreza aswell. Especially if it's as 'dynamic' as they say.

As I said on PH, if a sub 30k (hopefully) RWD coupe came along with 300+ BHP that wasn't German people would go nuts for it, but because it's a Mustang it's 'sacrilege' to have anything other than a V8. Even though an |6 engine was an option from the start. I'm sure a lighter engine at the front would help the handling somewhat.

People are also spazzing over how good the M125i is, yet that's a 4 pot rwd BMW.

Without a cheaper/more economical engine, it probably wouldn't have sold the numbers it would have needed to for it to be economically viable to bring it over in the first place. So 4 pot and V8 it is, it's 2013, suck it up.

The V6 in the American Mustang isn't the Ecoboost, which is why they probably thought it pointless in Europe where the 4 cylinder Ecoboost will be more economical and slightly more powerful.

It would have been good to see the V6 Ecoboost in the Mustang over the current one.

I like the look of that. It kind of looks like they have gone for a softer, more contemporary European look, but not lost the aggressiveness of the car - it's still recognisably a Mustang.

Well done Ford :)

Hopefully they will release the Shelby for you guys also :)
The sound these cars make are truly fantastic!!
