I think it will be the other way around if she finds proper employment, ie not cash on hand. As it goes through payee system she will get tax deductions assuming she would be working for the whole year and will pay more tax. Then 2 years later she will get that back.

Stereotyping. My daughter-in-law (to be) is Polish and has lived and worked here for the best part of a decade. A lot of her Polish and other Eastern European friends have done the same, as in stayed and spent here.

I work in a shop & it infuriates me that I have to listen carefully to foreigners when they come in & speak because there English is terrible.

Your in England so learn to speak it properly. Maybe if we stopped foreigners speaking their native tongue in public it would be a start.

I have no patience with them.

You always get your tax back in April if you apply for it.

Funny that - I once met a Juan Van Der Foreignerski and his family, and to my surprise, what infuriated them was the fact that all the Brits easyjetting their four letters to any place on main continent to binge and purge would come in and expect to speak to everyone around in English, because their foreign language skills were just terrible.

"You're in Europe", Juan would shout at them, "so learn to speak at least one foreign language properly, it will only do you good". "Maybe if we stopped the English from speaking their native tongue in public" his wife mused "it would be a start?".

They just had no patience with them lazy xenophobes.
