Forse 3 SSD only 7.3 in WEI?

I've got a Force 3 SSD in my rig atm and its only scoring 7.3 in WEI.

Its plugged into a SATA 2 port for the moment until I buy some new cables and do some cable management, would this be the only reason why its scoring so low?
Or is there another reason for this? anything I should check first?

Because its not on a SATA3 channel.

Not all SSDs get 7.9, only a handful of SATA3 get 7.9.

WEI is meaningless, I wouldnt worry too much about it.

ah ok, I just wondered if I hadn't set anything up properly.

I know WEI isn't all that great but its not bad just to give snapshot

I think the way prices are atm I may upgrade to an M4 everyone keepings raving about

you want a force gt model,they use superior synchronous nand memory,not asynchronous

how full is your ssd? it will affect that model

I actually looked at the GT model, but at the time when I bought most of the parts for my build the force 3 was on offer and £28 less. lol

Its only the 120GB model, I have 36.9GB free at the moment. I really need upgrade it - Hence why I was thinking I would spend the cash on a 256GB Crucial M4 as they seem to be highly rated on here.

I've heard bad things about the Sandforce controllers on here, but I've honestly never had a problem with my drive - other than the slightly laggy speed.

I'm expecting someone to create a first world problem Meme "My SSD speed isn't sufficient" but before those appear I was merely asking for advice

There was problems with early firmware but its been fixed for quite a while now,m4 is good if your after a large drive

WEI is rubbish.

However, you would be hard pressed to find a single SSD that read 7.9 (maybe the M4). My OCZ Agility 3 (probably one of the best after the M4) only did 7.6 until I RAID 0'd 2 of them and it now reads 7.9.

WEI currently says that my GTX680 SLI setup scores 6.2 for both graphics and gaming graphics. Needless to say, I couldn't care less.

My 120GB Force 3 got 7.7 in WEI whereas the Samsung 256 gets 7.9.

The benchmarks using CrystalDisk aren't in scale with the WEI because the benches are 2-4x higher

with 1 vertex 2 60gb i used to get 7.9 now with 2 on raid 0 i get 7.8 WEI is just ****

That's incredibly strange, even for WEI. I don't think they're that inaccurate unless it's a glitch with SLI or Crossfire for example.

My 64gb M4 gets 7.9... just ignore it and use a proper benchmark
