I know exactly what you mean and the money at these tournaments is huge, I couldnt imagine a way when I was 15 that I could win 1.8 million. I dont even know what that 15 year old is going to do becoming almost a double millionaire overnight. I'd hate to be his teachers now trying to motivate him for his GCSEs

Need good guidance on using the money right though at that age. Far too easy to spend it all!

Yeah, at 15 years of age, just under a million is still a very nice sum to win. Though as Hungryhippos rightly says he will need careful management as its easy to blow all that when you are young and not fiscally aware. I imagine if it was locked away in some decent account until he turns 18, 3 years worth of interest on it would add a nice sum too.
