OcUK are clever folk, they will have probably emptied an entire box, say 2000 per box or whatever then taken a handfull and just counted the ones missing rather than counting the vast amounts!

However could take some searching to find the corrct answer you're right.

Indeed, mods can just go back through the revision history and see if it has been altered.

Thats all well and good but what if someone accidentally typed the wrong number when they submitted and then corrected it right away, etc.?

Revisions aren't saved during the first minute when you edit, so if they did it right away, it shouldn't show IIRC
