I hate forums where people have huge sigs, sometimes animated ones that are 1mb big

1mb sigs would be very annoying, 20kb is quite small. Maybe in the future it will be raised to 50kb.

I think it is safe to say at this point in time no one on this forum will be using a dial up connection, I would suggest people upgrade there internet before upgrading PC hardware if they do

It's fine considering there is no animated images. If you save as a web jpeg, and no a PNG then it's not gonna be a problem.

Also since it's only 400x75 then it makes it better. On some forums it makes me sad how long signatures take to load, because image shack or whatever is used to host a lot of the signatures are stingy with their bandwidth so it loads slowly no matter what your connection is.

I think the more pertinant issue is quite how did you manage 40KB for a tiny image with 2 colours in it.

DPD too, I believe it's dependant on item size.

I ordered my TV using DPD free.

It was DPD at one point, shame it was changed to the Royal Goose (Mail).

Well I've got a 50MB connection so I'm fine! But it's in the forum rules soooo (and i want to be a don like zefan was so i will check every ones sig and report the to big ones like a knob

That's a personal attack. Also, if you'd prefer that you wasn't told you were breaking a rule therefore risking a suspension then that is YOUR choice.

I'm afraid to tell you, you're wrong My current connection is a shared connection of a poor satellite connection on an oil rig off the coast of Egypt. My connection speed is roughly the same as my old 56K modem. Unfortunately, some people don't have the luxury of broadband through no fault of their own and have no way of upgrading.

I know there will be very few people in my situation but I just felt like pointing out that your "safe" assumption was, in fact, unsafe
